2006 fusion reset air bag light in cluster

Light on idicates a problem with the air bag system , there is a DTC - diagnostic trouble code stored in SRS control module . To reset the light , code has to be diagnosed and fixed for the light to go out . If you don't know that your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop . Special tools are needed to diagnose and repair SRS systems . People not knowing what they were doing have been killed .

2006 fusion reset air bag light

Why is the air bag light on in the first place?

If you didn't have a crash, but suddenly the air bag light started popping up, you may be in need of a new battery.

It's rather common on the fusions..... when the battery starts running lower on power, the airbag system doesn't get the proper voltage and thinks there is a problem....the light will trigger because of this.

Is it on all the time? Did it start coming on then go away a short time after you started driving? If yes to that last question, I'd say 95% the issue is a weak battery.

How to reset airbag light 2006 Mercury Milan and Ford Fusion

Which airbag light is on? The one on the instrument cluster or the one over the radio that says passenger air bag off? If its the one on the instrument cluster, then there is a system fault detected. If its the one that says passenger air bag off. Then the system thinks the right front seat is occupied but the weight is too low deploy the airbag.

What is the fault when the air bag dash light flashes code 49

It's a common fault on many Fords, usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat. Just push it together properly and it should clear the fault. If not, go under the drivers seat and secure all the wires and clips there as well.

My ex husband was in a roll over car accident in his 2006 ford fusion going 70 mph and his air bags didnt deploy. is there a recall on those or does he have a possible case for his injuries?

Front air bags are not designed to deploy in side impact, rear impact or rollover crashes. There are several reasons why your air bag may not have deployed during a crash. The first reason is that perhaps your crash is not the type of accident where air bag deployment would be helpful. For frontal air bags, this includes many, but not all, side impacts, rear impacts and rollovers. This category also includes minor accidents in which the driver and front passenger (if there was one) did not suffer any significant injuries requiring medical treatment. Many people do not realize there are a lot of side air bags that do not deploy during a rollover accident, even when the vehicle rolls onto its side. That is because those side air bags do not include an appropriate crash sensor that can detect rollover crashes.

Air bag light stays on

I had the same issue wit my 2006 Hyunda Santa Fe air bag light staying on. I had the system scanned and it was the passenger bottom seat. It has sensors in the padding that monitor the weight on the seat. If it is over 40-60 pounds then in case of an accident the air bag will deploy. This is to protect children in case they are setting in the front seat. However if the wire sensors over time break and the circuit is open then the air bag light will stay on. The bottom seat is around $300 dollars not counting labor to replace.

2006 Ford F150 ABS light and Air bag light stays on

The usual problem causing the AIR BAG light is a poor connection on the YELLOW CONNECTOR under the passenger seat.

Push it firmly together and that should cure the Air Bag Light
