Question about 2012 Hyundai Elantra

Open Question

My 2012 Hyundai Electra check engine showed up. Scanned the car and got two codes: b2aaa and po711. Any ideas? My car does feel rough switching gears- it's an automatic. Mainly 1st and 2nd gears.

Po711 chevy duramax 3500 code

Hi Danial, Overheating is usually something to do with the cooling system, but can be caused by a few other problems. I would check the usual problems first, such as the thermostat the radiator pressure cap, water pump and the cooling fan operation. Also check for any sins of leakage. It is a good idea to have the cooling system pressure tested at a workshop, just in case the leakage is only evident when the system has reached operating temperature. Unless the engine has been seized it would be very doubtful that a con rod has been bent, which is the rod I believe you're referring to? Regards John

My 2004 Hyundai Elantra surges and jumps gears

You got ripped off by the mechanic. A good mechanic can pinpoint the problem by using a scan tool. Take vehicle to autozone or similar and have it scanned for codes this will give you a idea what is wrong. I believe the problem is exhaust related because of the blinking light.
