The reset switch is in the kick panel behind the plastic trim, there is a hole with a red switch button showing press it. If it is tripped you will hear a "click"

Looking for a reset fuel reset button on a 2001 ford ranger

The fuel shut-off or Inertia Switch will either be located behind the passenger side kick panel, or it will be located behind the passenger side carpet just under the heater case.

My ford ranger turns over fine but will not fire up

On passenger side, inside of cab there is a fuel inertia switch mounted on the firewall by where feet go. There is a button underneath, push it. This will reset switch. Truck should get fuel now and start. These switches get weak and if passenger kicks it truck will shut down. Will still turn over but not start.

Air bag

When you first start the truck the air bag system does a diagnostic. The light comes on because there is a fault in the system. Needs to be scanned, I suspect they will find a problem with the front impact sensor. Either it was damaged, or the wiring to it was damaged when you went into the ditch.
