I checked to see if there is a compressor delete pulley, nothing can be found for that year. I have installed a good used compressor from a wrecking yard before so that the belts could be routed properly without a huge expense of installing a new compressor.

I had one also. I had to also junk yard a compressor also. When you go to get one, Just make sure the pulley spins with out roughness. You need to spin it with your hand, not leaving the pulley.

Do I need a new belt if we take off the air conditioner? The truck is a 93 dodge dakota v6,and what size belt do we need?

You can't normally do this as it ruins the belt routing. Everything has to be the right way around the pullets to make them turn in the right direction. Replace the AC Pump.

Stalling and overdrive

IAC ( idle air control ) location. You need to be sure to clean pintle (pointed end) of motor as well as spray clean inside port where it comes out of. Careful not to lose small "o" ring on motor.

My mother ran my 1997 Dodge Dakota Sport 3.9 liter V6 without the serpentine belt. After putting new belt on it, now it won't start. It's getting fuel and the engine is turning over, just not...

Assuming nothing more than what you say here, I would first check compression on the cylinders. The serp belt alone will not cause the no start condtion you describe. If the vehicle ran before the belt was replaced, it should still run afterwards. Most likely, the "three minutes" you describe may in fact have been a few more than that, and the result could be cracked or warped heads. If you have fuel and spark, the only things you still require are air and compression. As air is most always readily available, compression is the last vestige to be checked. If the compression is bad, you have your answer. Good luck!

2003 Jeep Liberty: how to reroute belt without air conditioner

Rerouting with the original belt will not work. You will need a shorter belt and that is something that this site isn't good at - modifications. I would suggest you go to the Jeep and see if anyone there has also taken off their AC.
