The O2 sensor downstream of the catalytic converter only monitors catalyst efficiency. Has nothing to do with ignition or fuel delivery.

could it be cat itself or what other sensors???????

The P0301 is specifically identifying cylinder 1. If the cat were a problem, you would see codes for other cylinders or for random/multiple cylinders (P0300). I would focus on cylinder 1. Have you observed the engine running in the dark to see if spark is 'leaking' from the #1 plug wire? Have you done a compression check on cylinder 1? Have you checked the #1 injector with a noid light?

A misfire could be caused by a bad , clogged fuel injector . A vacuum leak . How are you reading a misfire ? A code ? A dirty mass air flow sensor can cause misfires . Low fuel pressure ,clogged fuel filter . When you replaced the fuel pump did you replace the ceramic sending unit resistor card with a new one ?
Fuel Gage
The IPC displays the fuel level as determined by the PCM- engine computer. The IPC -instrument panel cluster receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating the fuel level percent. The fuel gage defaults to empty if:
?€¢
The PCM detects a malfunction in the fuel level sensor circuit.

?€¢
The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the PCM.

When the fuel level is less than a pre-determined value, the low fuel indicator illuminates.
Reviewing the fuel system description will further explain how the system functions. Refer to Fuel System Description .
Do you know about class 2 serial data communication .

My H2 Hummer had a computet code P003 misfire on cylinder 3.I switched the spark plug wires around now Im getting a computer code P001 multiple misfires

check engine control fuse and then switch the coil packs around again. Rescan, and see what you get. Then switch to different coils again and rescan.
Mine was a combination of a blown engine control fuse and one bad coil.
My friend had the same, but it was 2 bad plugs and one bad coil.

My heater doesnt seem to be working for my 05 H2 Hummer. I checked all possible fuses, what would be my next steps?

Check and make sure coolant level is up to proper mark would be one of the first things I'd have to ask. Is the blower motor working at all?

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:
Check Engine Light with a P0300 due to 2 - 4 cylinders misfiring on the same bank of the engine. DTCs P0171, P0172, P0174 or P0175 may also set for the misfiring bank.

Recommendation/Instructions:
If the published misfire diagnostic does not isolate the cause, perform the following suggestions as necessary:
  • Perform a fuel injector balance test for all 8 cylinders. If a fuel injector concern exists, it is possible to misfuel an entire bank of the engine, causing multiple cylinders on the same bank to misfire even though the root cause is a single fuel injector.
  • Inspect O2 sensor connections on the misfiring bank for corrosion or water intrusion. If water intrusion is found on the right bank, it may be due to the AC Evaporator Condensation dripping onto the O2 sensor harness. If this condition is found, reposition and shield the harness to prevent a repeat concern and repair the connections.
  • Check for excessive exhaust backpressure using the restricted exhaust diagnosis.
  • Swap the Position 1 O2 sensors side to side to see if the misfires move to the other bank of the engine. If so, replace the O2 sensor.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

NOTE: GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition.

My 2003 H2 engine light flashes but no trouble code.

When the light flashes it means you have a catalytic damaging misfire happening.. Most likely a coil or spark plug issue but could be something else. Get it fixed ASAP because if you toast your cat its going to get expensive
