I bought a 99 volks wagon passat and i need to change the tires but it has a security lug nut and i dont have a key. What do i do?


The only real solution to this is to take the car to a professional tire shop. Call around first and explain your situation. Better shops will have a special set of tools made for just this problem. Cheaper shops will try to hammer or chisel or cut the old lugs off and this will cause damage to the wheels.

My 99 jeep cherokee wagon won't start. The motor is turning over and when this first happened it sounded like it started then imediately went dead.


check that your wires are getting spark. an ohm meter should allow you to do this if you have spark then check if your getting fuel it may be a plugged fuel filter or a faulty fuel pump.

1999 saturn wagon, sputters and jerks when accelerates.


Check you spark plug wires, spark plug, and distributor cap and rotor. Make sure the spark plugs are gapped correctly and they do not look worn or fouled. Find a relatively dark place, start the engine, raise the hood, and look for blue arcs (sparks). A little windex sprayed on the wires will enhance this effect. If you see these sparks, replace the wires, and your problem should go away.

volks wagon schematics are impossible to read they are not like every one else they use what is called powerflow but i am a vw tech maybe i can help you whats wrong

Can not get the oil pan on my 99 vw bettel to come off.


be sure you have remove all bolts on the far back corner of the pan.WATCH OUT some volk wagon engine you have to drop subframe. to get the oil pan off.

My 99 Passat wagon turns over but will not start (cold weather)


Pull out your spark plugs and check for fuel fouling. If they are fouled replace them. If it was badly flooded you may have to shoot a little oil into the spark plug holes then turn the engine over with the spark plugs out. Reinstall plugs and it should fire off. Good luck.

Sequence for spark plug leads on a vw polo 1.4 1996


Hello darren625, the firing order will be 1-3-4-2, #1 will be at the front of the block,I am not familiar with volks wagon but you can disconnect the power (to be safe) turn the engine over by hand with plugs out for ease use a piece of stiff wire or small screwdriver in the #1 plug hole and you will feel the piston come up make sure it is on the compression stroke (you will feel air escape) when it is at the top before it starts to travel down that will be tdc (top dead center) the rotor will now be in line with #1 connect wires as per firing order and you should be good to go,hope this helps, good luck
