If the disc spins but then ejects, then you might try a laser cleaning CD which is commonly available at electronics retailers.

If it ejects immediately, then there will be no getting around removing the player from the car and opening it up for further diagnostics.

It might be due to a mechanical fault, a faulty laser, or any number of possible problems. They are usually complicated to fix or unfixable so you might consider replacing it

Cd in02 lincoln ls light comes on ( cd error ) wont work or eject ??

This can be from a couple things that caused this. Most the time and 99% of the time that causes this is the cd driver is dirty, which some times it just spits it out after error message comes on. AND in your case, it is staying in there spinning and reading error, and won't eject. One way that is possible to have this kick out is, to unhook battery, wait 5 minutes, and re- hook battery up, and sometimes it will trigger it to eject. If not, you do not want to start forcing something in there, it could cause more damage. You would then, i suggest , take it to car stereo shop as they have all kinds of methods to check it out and eject cd and figure out the fix method. Which could be as simple as a good cleaning, or cd itself was bad, or mechanism is screwed up.

I hope this helps Mike.

The player will not eject the cd but it will not play it either.

I know it sound crazy, but turn the system on, press eject while using a PLASTIC knife to lift the CD in the player. If the system is stock also try disconnecting the radio fuse for about 10 minutes or so with the car off. Reconnect it to see if the radio resets. You'll know the power completely went out because you'll have to reset your stations. By Resetting, hopefully the issue will solve itself. In a few of the system issues I've seen, when the motor won't open the faceplate, or the CD player won't give the CD back. I usually remove the faceplate or disconnect the negative side of the battery for about ten minutes. Try this if the fuse removal doesn't work. Good look. Let me know how it goes. there are other things to try.
