Remote Locks not unlocking/ locking on drivers and rear drivers side only with key fob or switch??

Wires could be broken where they go from the front of the door frame to the driver's door. Try putting straight pins through the cables near the door and near the door frame and connect these with 'jumper' wires. Try the switch. If it works then you need to remove the jumpers one at a time and try the switch. The one that stops the lock from working is the broken one. Try pull the wire apart. Where it stretches is where the break is so fix it there.

Power Door locks do not work with the fob or manually.

redux, now that the facts are stated.

the fob is dead, ok,, but more important
both door controls are dead., but does the rear hatch lock work and lift glass?
next is fuses, its always first, for any electric failure of any kind, means almost everything, no?

1: so both switches are dead.
2: and the door lock solenoids are silent.
3: that means the BCM is not working.

the body computer listens to both lock switches
left and right and they are not related.
in fact the switches are just 2 pins,
one ground and one MUX.

that means the BCM has issues.
next is scan it.

my quote, you cant fix modern cars lacking a scan tool, you can't , unless wild gue$$ing is fun or cheap.
both locks fail, BCM is NOT listening,

BCM is a computer, and its not responding
to valid door commands.
scan it. page 8L 171 in the FSM tells you just that.

ps: the mirrors do not use the BCM or power from locks. so has zero to do with locks.

the FOB receiver in the body (RKE) to make the fob work is called the SKREEM.
the skreem then sends cammands to BCM via the PCI buss. so id bet SKREEM is ok but the BCM has issues.

The BCM is now ignoring 3 major inputs
door left mux switch
door right mux swtich.

scan it , id bet there DTC error from BCM
i bet.......

Power door locks do not work.

First off, I assume your vehicle is a four door. If you press the door lock switch and there is no noise from any doors.I don't think actuators in all doors and hatch,Are all bad. Sometimes the fuss box on those vehicles go bad. The other problem i have found is the wires run thru a rubber boot. From drivers door to post inside that boot your most likely going to find broken wires. That and a relay is the only other thing all locks would have in common.I'll find out tomorrow were the relay is!

My doors will not unlock using the key fob or the button on door, nor will my driver window work.

remove drivers door controles clean all contacts with electrical parts wash (auto parts store runs about 9$ to 14$ ) let dry put back together if one or more of your problems is solved then that is were your problem is . reclean in more detail or replace individual switches. if the first clean showed no impovement then you have a short. check wires between door and door frame for pinched or frayed move them around as you try the window and door locks

I need to somehow reset my factory alarm on my 1995 Nissan Maxima

this is how most nissans program the key fobs.
get in the car and manually lock the drivers door with the door switch.
put the key in and out of the ignition about 10 or 12 times until the hazard lights flash once.
turn the key to the ignition setting so all the dash lights are on,but do not start the car.
click the lock button on the remote fob.the hazards should flash once to confirm.
turn off ignition and remove the key.
unlock the drivers door and open the door.
the remote should now work.
if that does not work, the dealer can reprogram the fob with the obd diagnostic system.

Car will not unlock.

To get inside the car .... Use the key in the lock cylinder, unlock the drivers door to get inside. You shouldn't have to reprogram the fob unless it or the keyless module was changed. There may be a blown fuse that supplies the keyless control module (check the owners manual for location). or wires that lead into the Drivers door may be damaged ... The keyless module is located inside the drivers door at the bottom behind the door panel ... do the unlock/lock and trunk release switches on the inside of the drivers door operate the locks and or trunk release? If so it is not the fuse ... and not the wires to it ... And it could be your BCM body control module, located in the dash board to right of your gas petal. Because the number entry keypad (code for that is on the inside of the right passenger trunk bracket arm) also doesn't work I assume it's not the key fobs themselves. Your 98 manual is correct for your car.

Try "resetting" your keyless entry code. Which is a fancy way of explaining that I broke my keyless entry key fob and had to order a new one. It came w/ instructions explaining how to get the new fob to speak to the car's computer. It was weird (turn key on and off 3 times, open and close door three times, etc. **I'm sure my neighbors were watching and laughing**), but it worked. I'll scan and email you the insrtuctions if you wish. Dan:
