I would bet my life it is not the fuse... if it were then no lights would work... i would bet my ***** producing testicle that it is the head light switch. pretty simple job... remove the air bag from the steering wheel by the two hex bolts on the back, unplug the airbag and put it in a very safe place.... do not drop it!!! to take the steering wheel off is a little tricky but do-able... audi uses a stupid lookin torx bolt for this that is probably dealer only... but you can take it off with like a 50 or a 55 torx... next is the clockspring... unplug and be careful... remember the position it was in before you take it off (this is the part that makes the airbag explode)... after that it's strait forward screws. remove and replace! i think the switch is 140 bucks and if you do it yourself take your time and focus. study the parts before u take them out... it's all common sense on this one... also VERY IMPORTANT! disconnect the battery before u ever touch an airbag!!! Good luck in your adventures of owning an audi... as they will drive a man crazy, this is the price we pay for our need to look cool... and if yours breaks just lemme know... u can buy mine

Lights dont work when turned on but running lights come on. Is there a light relay i need to change. 97 a4 2.8 quattro whats the relay number

Your headlight switch is melted internally - happens a lot on the A4. You need a new switch and install includes removal of the airbag and steering wheel. Not tough to do as long as you know how to work safely around airbags. If not, have it installed by a pro - airbags can kill you if you're unsure of what you're doing.

1998 A4, headlights not working, brights and turnsignals fine,

You need a new headlight switch. Yours has melted down internally. It's a poor design and a common failure.

No dipped beam headlights on audi a4 1,9td 2003

Check up dipped beam headlights fuse inside fuse box. For Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram. If the dipped beam headlights fuse is OK, check up dipped beam headlights bulbs.

Headlights dont work

car headlights have 2 filaments each, 1 for high beam and other one for low, if both headlights are off there might be problem with the wires or relays and fuse. Have this serviced by an authorized auto-electrician since electrical wirings for gasoline engined cars are quite delicate and requires urgent attention.
