No. Replace the Engine control unit that was destroyed when you reversed the polarity to it.

That wire was probably a fuseable link which is designed to melt inside like a regular fuse.
Do you have voltage on both ends ? And are the other fuses getting power ?

The car won't go forward or backward

Lift up all the wheels one by one, rotate each wheel and check which wheel resists to rotate. Disassemble the jammed wheel and carefully examine to see why is it so.
Grease the caliper pins, free up the pistons and reset the brake components.

Which wires go to which post on the starter

usually the studs and the loops on the wires are different sizes to prevent people from getting them backwards. if this isn't the case it really won't harm anything if you get it backwards as long as it's just that way to test start. if it doesn't engage or sounds funny then the wires are backwards.

It will start up and go in gear but it won't move

transmission fluid is probably gone if it goes bye bye the only thing your vehicle can do is go backwards it wont go forward

Car won't start, with starter diconnected the flywheel will only go forward, I cannot get it to go backward, what is the problem?

could be a bolt from flywheel has back out & jamming. engine might be hydrolocked
can try removing spark plugs to see if that helps

Welcome to Have your oil changed every 3,00 miles. Have the tires checked for proper pressure. coming to a stop do not stop hard and on acceleration take it easy on the pedal. And, Tune up at it's normal interval. Lee
