Steering wheel jerky at any speed. Doesn't jerk or become difficult when turning.

It sounds like possibly a bad CV joint. Do you hear a clacking sound when it jerks? There are other possibilities, but just take these possibilities one at a time until you find the problem.

I have a noisey whining sound coming from my 2001 buick lesabre

It's either your power steering as you suggested or it's the alternator.

Knocks when you turn, steering column jerks

Hi there - S Wilkins here.
Could be a front hub bearing or axle CV joint.
You may be able to raise the front wheels and move them around and find what is loose.

Noisey power steering

If the belt driving it is not squeeling and the reservoir is up to the full mark, the power steering pump needs to be replaced.

Engine stalls when wheels turned

you have a bad power steering pressure sensor, seending you some info on it,The switch's function is to signal the PCM when the power-steering system exceeds its normal operating hydraulic pressure, like when you cut the steering wheel all the way to one side and hear that hissing sound from the pump. The PCM then raises the idle speed and/or disengages the air-conditioning compressor to prevent the engine from stalling.

Engine is making hissing sound.

That hissing could be a vaccuum system leak, have youe tried pinpointing the sound from under the hood?

sound like your powersteering pump or steering rack and pinion
could be bad.i would say it is your rack and pinion because if your pump was bad your steering would be real hard to turn instead of being jerky.jerking is usally the sign of a bad rack
