you have an adjustable throttle cable top & backside of motor.. very easy to adjust back down... my jetty stayed idled too low & would randomly rev until cleaned entire intake & adjusted pin on cable... check engine light went out and it auto cleared code almost immediately

you "switch on" the relay to give you park, low, high speeds.......

It runs next to the high pressure hose from the pump to the reservoir. It's 3/4 inch hose, it's held on with clamps, unlike the high pressure hose that has compressed fittings. Your best bet is to remove the hose and match it up with a parts store.

hi from uk if as you say clutch slips in high gear ie engine revs are not compared to speed you should be doing ? then i am afraid that considering age and probable high milage of car the cars clutch is on its last legs and rqs renew not a difficult or long job to do on jetta but for the moment try not to drive car too much as it will/may fail completely no drive! then you will incurre breakdown/recovery charge ? a stich in time ? saves nine ? hope this helps you?

sounds like an electrical short or malfunction. this is a dealer only issue that VW knows best to solve. Check with your dealer to see if any recalls are on your vehicle and take it to them for repairs. Most local shops don't know enough about VW's to work on them accurately. I know this from experience of owning one myself years ago. Trust NO ONE BUT THE DEALER WITH YOUR VW.
