Check the water pump... the impeller may be loose and the water/antifreze is not circulating.

I have 2002 vw jetta wagon and it keeps over heating. We have changed the thermostat fuses relays and the heater core connector. We think the water pump is working fine because it has pressure and...

Pressure is not a good indicator of water pump operation. Pressure in the cooling system comes from the heating of the water and its expansion. Jettas come from the factory with plastic impellers on their water pumps. These have a tendency to break and fail, causing overheating issues. Most aftermarket pumps have metal impellers to prevent this from happening. I would seriously consider having the water pump replaced, especially if it is original and you have more than say 60K miles on the car. It's due for a change anyway and may save you your engine. Car getting hot

1) Is there enough coolant in the radiator?
2) Have you noticed if the electric fans are kicking on when the temp is going high? I'm guessing that they are not, the temp switch may be faulty.

Overheating / Stem from water / coolent reservor

that did not sound like any fun. most likely your water pump has failed on you. you will want to replace both timing belt and rollers and tensioner. they most likely will have been soaked by coolant also the want to look at the coolant flange on the drivers side of the engine block. if it is leaking or not the burning smell is probably the oil leaking onto the exhuast manifold from a leaking v/c cover gasket.hope it helps good luck.

My 2001 VW JETTA GLS IS OVERHEATING

If one pipe from the radiator is hotter than the other one its usually the thermostat or water pump, seen as you already changed the thermostat id say its the waterpump.if you start the car when temp. is syill low enough to take the radiator cap off and leave it idleing and you see bubbles from the water at the cap then you possibly have a blowen head gasket etc
