Error displays on my radio how do i get it off

Check your fuses and double check your wiring. You've likely mis-wired something to the radio that also supplies power for the lights in the dash. So if you find a blown fuse, you might blow it again if it's a wiring issue. Of course, you may have bumped a wire to ground during the install which blew the fuse, so replacing it may be all that's needed.
I had an issue where a "small light fuse" in my 97 accord blew and my parking lights and dash lights didn't work. Small fuse under the hood was all that needed to be replaced.

could be a blown ignition fuse.

1997 Honda accord nothing on instrument cluster works,only the battery light. Power windows will not work. shift lock solenoid doesn't work.Digital clock does not work. Lights on the console shifter don't light up. Help!

It likely blew the fuse.

look under the cover.. white label should say radio back up 15 amp

They probably share the same fuse. Sounds like cig lighter coil is shorted and "fiddling around" blew the fuse. Replace the fuse and try a different lighter coil.

Check the glove compartment, the code should be inscribed somewhere.

If you have tried a few times before NOT entering the right code or making error when entering code. This radio will lock you out, here is what you do disconnect battery cable for 60 seconds (positive cable) or disconnect radio fuse. Then re-enter code make sure that you are pressing firmly on number and make sure that you enter correctly.(POWER ON RADIO SHOULD BE IN ON POSITION WHEN DOING THIS) If this doesn't work then you will need to go to HOnda and fora fee they will be able to get code. I think that the problem is in the connection between the cd-player and the radio antenna on the roof.
