Question about 2000 Chevrolet Lumina

I have a 2000 chevy lumina and the front seal is broken.what is the best way to replace it without taking the transmission and the motor and the tork converter out?

Remove everything off the front of the engine.

I have oil staying out where the transmission meets the motor. What is the problem? And what steps do I have to do to fix this problem?


is this transmission oil motor oil its lot of work you should take it to a transmission shop it sounds like a seal went if itred it will be a seal o the front of transmission if it motor oil rear seal on motor need to be replaced

Find a place that clean remove as much as part in order as you can. oil pan drop it transmission pan drop it battery remove and keep thing clean as possible. starter intake everything fan power pump and radiator than you can remove hood and get a lift for engines and unbolt the trans than the motor mounts

I have water on the floor boards of my Chevy Lumina.The seals around the doors and windows are not wet,and there is no water trail running down the door panels.What could be causing the water on my floor...


clean out under the front cowl.there are drains that come out of the firewall.probably plugged up.the water backs up and runs down through the blower motor.

90 Chevy Lumina 3.1 Shut Down At Stop Sign


There is a white plug that goes into the top of the transaxile, (open hood, look on the right hand side down low, you see a plug with two wires on it, pull this plug out. The engine will run fine after this with no problems, something to do with tork lockup for fuel saving at slow speed, below 35km/hr It locks the transmission at the same speed as the engine for fuel savings. I owned a 1990 lumina apv and ran it with this unpluged for over 10 years. or you can take the cover off the transmission, take off drivers side tire, remove cover on transaxiles, the part in question here is a small solonoid that is very easy to remove and replace if you want but not necesary to do so,

1996 chevy blazer tranmission leaking


could be the rear main seal on trans which you pull the driveshaft out then pull the seal out and pop the new one in of it could be the front seal or oil pan for trans.
