If all the external linkage is moving correctly, the only way to repair this is to disassemble the transmission to get to the shift forks and synchronizer clutches.

take out the console, look on youtube for videos of others doing this. most likely you are going to need a saturn shifter bushing repair kit which you can get on ebay for less than 20 bucks.

Transmission stuck in 4th gear.how do I get it out

This is usually caused by a sheared pin on the synchro gear in the transmission, but can also be caused by a shifter linkage problem. You may need to drop the transmission oil pan to see what's going on, and repair as needed.

'89 Jeep Wrangler. Why won't it go into 3rd and 4th gear?

It is possible that the shift linkage has become loose and shifted but it is more likely that an intermediate gear or another component inside the transmission has become broken. This may require a transmission rebuild to correct.

I just replaced the exhaust system in my 91 tercel but in 3rd and 4th gear it seems like it is stuck help

It sounds to me like you damaged or broke the linkage from the shift lever to the transmission. Take a look at the linkage and see if anything is loose or stuck. if not, then these 2 issues (exhaust being replaced, tranny not shifting) are not likely related.

My problem is that the manual transmission is stuck in 4th gear. I was backing up when I went to put it into 1st the shifter was stuck. The clutch works to disengage the gears but the shifter won't...

That cylinder is known as the clutch slave cylinder. It should push against the clutch fork every time the clutch pedal is depressed to allow gear changes. If it doesn't, suspect a faulty slave cylinder, or clutch master cylinder.

Manual gear box stuck in 4th gear on 1998 ford mondeo, gear stick moves back and fourth as if it is broken, can you help me with a solution please

Check the linkage under the vehicle, if it is still connected then your problem is the portion in the transmission and it will need to be rebuilt. If the linkage is disconnected or broken you will need to repair it to fix your problem.

Transmission problems (gear linkage)

The gear linkages are not correctly aligned.
Is the gearbox mounting in exactly the same place as when you removed it?
Even a 1/4 inch will offset the gears.
hope this helps
