Question about 1990 Nissan Hardbody King Cab

1 Answer

Just wondering if the a/c can be recharged with a kit or not?

I found an auto a/c recharge kit in the garage, but i couldn't find a place under the hood that matched the description in the instructions. Does anyone know if this can be done or if it would have to go to a repair shop?

1990? is that r-12? you would see a sticker under the hood or somewhere in the engine bay. Do not try to refill this with those kits. Those kits usually say 134a and its not compatable. If the refrigerant is indeed for your car; you would power up a/c on max full fan and fill it through the low side (thicker refrigerant line). It usually has a blue cap on it. Sometimes you have to hunt it down just trace the lines from the compressor. Do not overfill. Follow directions carefully. I would get a refrigerant preassure guage.

He is not an expert. This should be carried out at a garage with experience ofChrysler. It should be carried out only by qualified personnel, having an accident with freon can blind. Take it to a Chrysler man/woman is my advice, you will have the peace of mind that it has been done properly

How can I recharge the air conditioning?

Hello. If you wish to recharge it yourself, drive to any auto parts store and see if they will loan you the recharging kit if you buy the refrigerant from them. If you don't wish to do it yourself, call a few garages until you find one that will charge your A/C and also ask up front how much they will charge. J.

2002 acura tl a/c compressor comes on but no air comes through vents.

You need to get your AC recharged or you can purchase a kit to recharge your ac. In the kit is the instructions to recharge your AC. You could purchase a kit at wal-mart or any parts store. Below is a picture of the "Quest Auto A/C ReChill kit" that can be purchased at Napa.

How can i refill the air conditioning in my 2001 hyundai sonata

You can buy a recharge kit at your local parts store. The kit comes with a pressure gauge to let you know when the coolant level is good, over charged, or low. The kit cost about $25. With the kit hook up, it can't be hooked up wrong with the high and low pressure ends. You will be able to use this over and over, just buy new cans when you need to refill.

From the information you have given, the battery has reached the end of it's useful life.
It simply needs replacing,not recharging.

Borrow a known good battery from a friend or family, then see if the same thing happens.Someone must have a spare battery in their garage you could use.

I have a 2002 pt cruiser and my ac is not colling

Your car ls most likely low on refrigerant. If you're handy, you can get a recharge kit at an auto parts store to recharge your AC system. If not, most service stations will recharge the system for under $100 but be aware that they are mandated by law to detect any leaks prior to recharging the system. If a leak is detected, they must repair the leak prior to recharge which would lead to a more expensive repair. Best of luck.

Air conditioner blows hot

my 06 jetta did the thing. I fixed it by replacing the outside temp sensor. Turns out the air only works if temps are over 45 degrees. My outside temp sensor had gone bad. sensor was around $11.00 and I had to re-wwire it in because the original one had corroded. air has been working great sense.
