Why does my 2006 Pontiac Montana feel like it kicks at 20-40 mph? - insert more words for faster question answering-

sounds like a bad motor or transmission mount try to step on the gas hard and release it quickly while in park do you feel the same thing if you do a motor mount is no good you'll see the engine twisting or raising up on one side the reason why I think its happening at slow speed is the transmission shifts gears and this lets the motor settle back down if not try with no body behind you quick acceleration then wait 5 seconds and hard stop when the car is stopped and you feel a bang from underneath the transmission mount is no good

Could be as simple as a defective tire. I had a similar incident when I drove over wet tar. A mass stuck to one of the wheels. You can check for transfer problems by grasping the linkages and shafts and shaking them for loosness.

Hi My jeep cherokee 2.8 crd has knocking sound coming from gearbox in 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 6th gears. the noise is worse if you lift your foot off the accelerator and let the car slow down. Syncros were...

Well, something is broken. I suggest that you get it on a lift, and listen with a Stethoscope and be sure the noise is in the tranny. There is not usually anything good that comes from a noise like you describe. A broken tooth on a gear damages the mating gear and those parts add up fast.

2002 fordf150 5.4litre extendedcab clicking sound coming from rear end at low speeds or when slowing down

Hopefully it's the rear u- joint going out. Check that first. Otherwise it could be broken tooth on pinio gear or some other internal differential prob. Hope it's a u- joint. Good luck

Put a new transmission in and now the car from 0 to 30 has a slow start. but after that it pulls like its suppose to.

Try putting the transmission in low or 1st gear manually shift it down and try taking off as you accelerate shift it manually to 2 then drive. Did it take off like it should when you put it into low and then shift up or did you feel more power when it was in low if so it sounds like the transmission is not going into low gear but taking off in maybe second gear or even drive. When it takes off in any other gear but low it will start slow and sluggish and as you begain to gain speed it will start feel normal but thats because the speed matches the gear you in at that point. If my assistance was helpful please take the time to rate my assistance thank you.

Hi. If got a 2004 T30 v/w transporter 6 speed gearbox that lost it drive,it sounds like the driveshaft spines or the differential has broken, can you tell me if there is a common fault with the gearboxs...

The most common failure in any manual transmission is a broken tooth on one of the gears, unfortunately gear lube is very sticky and often times it will pick up a broken tooth and run that chunk back through other gears causing massive damage. I would refrain from driving it and get it fixed. Some of those gear are very expensive. I don't know that this transmission has a specific weak spot, I haven't heard anything negative about it. VW usually makes a great transmission.

Weak humm when driving over 35kmh.

possibly a wheel bearing or tyre noise from badly worn tyres
while driving in a straight line and noise is present change lanes or shimmy car left and right if noise gets worse or better wheel bearing problem
also if noise gets worse in normal town driving speed and gets less at higher freeway speeds check your wheel bearings
