The small pipe points to the engine. If yours didn't have one. Cap it or you bought the wrong one. No year make or model...

SOURCE: high idaling , exhause pipes turning orange red under motor, not converter

Sound as though you have a lean burn condition and this is usually caused from a vacuum leak and that is what I would check for first. What engine is in it?

SOURCE: do i have 2 catalytic converters on my '90 F-150

You may have what they call a pre-cat. as well as the actual converter two. People shoul;d always check the pre-cat before the main one if you think something got stopped up and it won't start. Hope this is a little help. Raz

Advance auto and auto zone sell just the flex pipe. You will need to have someone cut the old one out and weld the new one in. costs about $20 for part vs $300 for pipew/catalitic converter attached.

If you have no catalytic converter and replace the muffler with a straight pipe,, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HEAR YOURSELF THINK!!.. I took the converter off mine and it was SOOO loud.(have a Flowmaster dual outlet).. It WAS TOO LOUD.. I put a 28" "glasspack" inline..WHEW.. I can actually hear the radio now!!!

OK my 95 Chevy 1500 2wd 4.3 manual transmission, the truck runs fine never fails to start but seems to have a little loss of power but I'm also running 33 inch mud tires on it. it smokes a little out the...

the bigger tyres the more power it takes to turn them
You have very big tyres so suffer a loss of power
with extra power and the oil pressure falling, I would suspect worn big ends and main bearings especially with the smoking exhaust as under load of acceleration the extra clearance in the bearings is allowing extra oil onto the cylinders and the oil rings cannot cope.
exhaust system has no effect

OK my 95 Chevy 1500 2wd 4.3 manual transmission, seems to have a little loss of power it smokes a little out the tail pipe and every time I give it a lot of gas the oil pressure goes down will bottom out...

Yes, it could be connected. If you run an engine with straight pipes, there will be no back pressure from the exhaust system, and the gas flows very fast out of the engine past the exhaust valves. This will cause the valves to heat up more than the manufacturer's spec and could burn the valves.
This in turn will cause loss of power. Overheated valves will cause the valve stem seals to harden and even to disintegrate, causing slight smoking from the tailpipe.
The oil pressure is a sticky toffee. If you have enough oil in the engine, you should have equal pressure at either low or high speed, unless you have a dicey oil pump, or oil level is low, causing the pump to lower the level in the sump or cavitating (sucking in air with the oil).

Ac leaking water inside car

Hi Jamie...
Your drain pipe for the a/c is plugged up with trash...
Look under your car normally on the right hand side you will see a rubber pipe, that will be the a/c drain.
You will need to run a wire or something flexible inside of the pipe to clear the obstruction.
You may have to remove the cover at the a/c inside of the car to get to the obstruction

Exhaust Pipe broke/Rust on muffler

Flex pipe will work, or if it's a straight section of pipe you can buy a universal piece of exhaust tubing with flared ends, trim off the rusty ends on your original pipe with a hacksaw or Sawzall and slip in the new section. Clamp it with 2 muffler clamps and you're set. Total cost should be under $40.

Installing the distributor on a 1996 vw golf

easy this one, take rocker cover off ,thent turn engine till timing mark of front pulley lines up,make sure the valves on no1 cylinder are closed and no4 are open .turn rotor arm on dist so it points to roughly no 1 lead an vac unit is clear of any thing it can touch ,fit distributor and place cap on so you can see which connector the rotor is pointing too the make that no1 ,and firing aoder is 1342.Fire up engine ,should start straight away ??then by moving distributor a little to either side till rpm goes up then back it off a bit and you should be about right for the timing ,if it pinks on acceleration a bit ****** it a little bit more .Make sure the vac advance unit works if fitted by sucking on the little pipe and then hold tongue on the end of the pipe and the vacumn should stay their .but this is a later model and i dont think it has a vacumn advance unit

Fuel filter

The system is pressurised! Be careful!

Remove your fuse for the fuel pump.

Start the engine and idle until the engine stops.

Try starting it again to make sure there is no more fuel in the system.

This will depressurise your system. Undo your fuel filler cap just to make certain!

When this is done, push the clips down the pipe away from the filter, or remove the clips.

Pull off the pipes and replace the filter.

Reattach the clips in the same place.

Screw in the fuel filler cap.

Replace the fuse and crank the engine until it fires.

Regards, Andy
