Before you tear anything apart check your battery cables on both ends for looseness. Dirt or corrosion.will not let power through. I tried to boost my car and nothing would work. It was like the battery was dead so I got towed in. They put a battery tester on and the battery was fully charged so they replaced my battery cables and bingo everything was working again. One cable was not letting the power through it.

Where is the ect sensor on a 1995 toyota previa

There are three temperature sensors on a 95 Previa engine. They are located on the left front side of the engine. The lower one is somwhat accessable from under the vehicle but access to the other two will require removal of the passenger seat and the access cover under the seat.

Battery runs down. replaced alternator, starter

Replace battery also then use a multimeter at the fuse box to check for power drains to find the loss of power. A tune up may be in order if it runs poorly.

Put in new belts and now the battery went dead and the battery light on dash is on could the new belts make the alternator be overloading we have a dead battery now 1992 22r toyota

I would take the alternator to a parts house that tests them for free like autozone. With new belts and a battery that was previously good, it is probably the alternator. Hope this helps you, Rick

I had my battery tested told to replace I did 1 week later my car

hi first of all jump start the car then connect a voltmeter across the battery. with the headlights and heater blower switched on run the engine at a fast idle .you should get a reading of at least 13.5 volts. if the reading is about 13.3 v it means a dead cell in battery. if it is lower than this it points to a low charge from the alternator .( the battery charge light may glow dimly) hope this is some use.

No electrics working

Could be the new battery is dead, from something in the vehicle draining it.charge up the battery and see what happens. Also could be the alternator is not charging the battery while vehicle is running.
