First check to see if you have a good battery and then begin checking current to your ECU. Might also want to check fuses / relays. Have you checked fuel pressure ?

S (Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System-NATS) has the following immobilizer functions: Since only NVIS (NATS) ignition keys, whose ID nos. have been registered into the ECM and IMMU of NVIS (NATS), allow the engine to run, operation of a stolen vehicle without a NVIS (NATS) registered key is prevented by NVIS (NATS). That is to say, NVIS (NATS) will immobilize the engine if someone tries to start it without the registered key of NVIS (NATS). All of the originally supplied ignition key IDs have been NVIS (NATS) registered. If requested by the vehicle owner, a maximum of five key IDs can be registered into the NVIS (NATS) components. The security indicator lamp blinks when the ignition switch is in "OFF" or "ACC" position. Therefore, NVIS (NATS) warns outsiders that the vehicle is equipped with the system. When NVIS (NATS) detects trouble, the security indicator lamp lights up while ignition key is in the "ON" position. NVIS (NATS) trouble diagnoses, system initialization and additional registration for other NVIS (NATS) ignition key IDs must be carried out using CONSULT-II hardware and CONSULT-II NVIS (NATS) software. Regarding the procedures for NVIS (NATS) initialization and NVIS (NATS) ignition key ID registration, refer to CONSULT-II OPERATION MANUAL IVIS/NVIS. When servicing a malfunction of the NVIS (indicated by lighting up of Security Indicator Lamp) or registering another NVIS ignition key ID no., it is necessary to re-register original key identification. Therefore, be sure to receive ALL KEYS from vehicle owner. System Composition NIEL0174 The immobilizer function of the NVIS (NATS) consists of the following: NVIS (NATS) ignition key NVIS (NATS) immobilizer control unit (IMMU) located in the ignition key cylinder ECM Security indicator lamp.

Ford 550 not starting

Urbon, Could be a lot of things causing your F550 not to start, bad fuel, clogged filters, faulty fuel pump, faulty IDM(injector driver module), low voltage to injectors, etc. Check oil level as a first step and top up to full if needed. If you can have the truck scanned by a good diesel tech., diagnosed and estimate repair. See attached No start diesel engine diagnostic links. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Reset ecu on Nissan hardbody 2006 model.stoped it at home, now wont start.maybe for second or two.Nats light not working on dash. keys still opening doors, enjin turning, does not start.enjin check light

Give this a try.....Timing is not as critical with this method...no stop watch needed. Just count in your head...one-one thousand, two-one thounsand, etc, or usestop watch. The most critical step is step #3....wait 10 sec, instead of 7.

1. Ignition "ON", count to 3.

2. Depress/Release pedal 5 times...hard and fast.

3. Count to 10 (not 7!) and fully depress pedal

4. Count to 12 (SES should be blinking), release pedal

5. Count to 10, depress pedal

6. Count to 10, release pedal.

7. Turn off ignition, then 81377951893%26mt_id%3D570%26mpre%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fitm%252Flike%252F181377951893%26mid%3D446528%26sdc_id%3D%7Bsdc_id%7D&DealName=12v%20Electric%20Push%20To%20Start%20Engine%20Ignition%20Button%20With%20Red%20Led%20Light%20Up&MerchantID=446528&HasLink=yes&category=0&AR=-1&NG=1&GR=1&ND=1&PN=1&RR=-1&ST=&MN=msnFeed&FPT=SDCF&NDS=1&NMS=1&NDP=1&MRS=&PD=0&brnId=2455&lnkId=8070676&Issdt=150102050536&IsFtr=0&IsSmart=0&dlprc=19.99&SKU=181377951893">start engine. Epc malfunction

If it reads open circuit that means one of two things, either the wiring to the switch has become faulty or the switch itself is gone bad. I would replace the switch first, and replace the fuel filter if it hasn't been done recently too!

Park brake light flashes 10 times. For 1989 Chevy 1500 pickup. What does this mean?

This truck probably has Rear Wheel Anti-Lock (RWAL) brakes. There is a small black module near master cylinder that is the brain for this system. There are ways to check for diagnostic trouble codes in this system. Once you have any codes set, diagnosis can be fairly simple. PROCEDURE:
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) 's can be displayed by jumping terminals "A" and "H" of the Data Link Connector and observing the flashing of the "BRAKE" warning light. This should only be done when the brake lamp is "ON".
The terminals must be jumped for about 20 seconds before the code will begin to flash. Count the number of short flashes starting from the long flash. Include the long flash as a count. Sometimes the first count sequence will be short. However, subsequent flashes will be accurate. If there is more than one failure, only the first recognized code will be retained and flashed.

NOTES:
DTC's 6, 9 and 10 will only turn the "BRAKE" lamp on while the fault exists. These are soft codes faults and can only be read with the Tech 1 scan tool.
Do not jump terminals "A" to "H" if the "BRAKE" lamp is not on. Jumping the terminals with the "BRAKE" lamp off will set a false DTC 9. This will turn the "BRAKE" lamp on and disable the antilock system.

My car just died while i was driving . It is 1986 nissan 200sx turbo . Now is getting no spark . Replaced one of the coils . Seems we have two of everything . and i dont know which way to go now .

On some cars if the Crank sensor or the Cam sensor is out you wont have spark or fuel on the car until you repalce either one of them. On that cars ECU theres some LEDs that let you know what sensors are malfunctioning, in other words there is a way of self diagnosting without a scanner.
