SOURCE: radio does not work

ok, there is a high possibiltiy u have a loose connection.
When it disconnects, it causes the time to go to 12:00

The power supplying ur radio is intermittent. You may have bounced on something while u was driving which caused the loose connection.

You may wanna have a look at the connections at the back of the radio and make sure the power is connected correctly

Hope this helps
Cheers

SOURCE: radio keeps shutting off and on by itself

Reads like you may have an intermittent power supply problem. The power travels from your battery via wires, through a fuse, through the ignition switch then through a connection plug into the radio. I recommend checking each of these connections for a loose contact / connection. Try changing the fuse for the radio, it may not be "blown" but the fuse wire could be fractured resulting in the intermittent situation you describe, this is a cheapy. If no loose connections are apparent a quick visit to an auto electrician could save you many hours of frustration.

Do the domelights work like they are suppose to? It might be a door switch.

SOURCE: Problems with dashboard lights

The switch that you are talking about... the dimmer switch, must not be working. If you have warranty left, i suggest you take it in. If not, maybe find a good auto wrecker, and replace the switch yourself. I'm guessing they'll be expensive.

Radio won't shut off on 2007 pontiac g6

Check wiring and see if power source is to wrong lead, usually the constant power wire would be wired to the clock or auto antenna. The poer source for turning the radio on should be wired to the power source that is tied to the ignition, so when you turn your key off the power will be off as well.

I have a 2006 Pontiac GT G6 Coup. When we first bought it back in Nov. 2010, it was fine. After a month or two, the clock would reset almost everytime the car was started, radio stations would NOT get...

sounds like a problem with the ignition barrel.the wiring is loose or the connectors are loose or the barrel is faulty, unless thse are all run from the onboard computer.

How do I change the time on the radio in my '08 pontiac g6

To set the hour, press the CLOCK button. The clock symbol displays and the hour flashes. Turn the ADJ (adjust) knob to increase or to decrease the hours. To set the minutes, press the CLOCK button again. The minutes flash. Turn the ADJ knob to increase or to decrease the minutes. The time can be set with the ignition on or off.
To synchronize the time with an FM station broadcasting Radio Data System (RDS) information, press and hold the clock button to enter the clock set mode, then press and hold the clock button for three seconds until UPDATED displays. If the time is not available from the station, NO UPDATE displays.
RDS time is broadcast once a minute. After tuning to an RDS broadcast station, it can take a few minutes for the time to update.

LCD not showing the clock or station

Behind the display there is a small 12 volt light bulb that needs to be changed.

You have to remove the radio and take it apart to replace those lights.

If you are able to do this yourself that would be the cheapest way. Otherwise I suggest you buy a radio from wreck yard.

Turn the radio off then hit the clock button. You can then use the volumn button to adjust the time. It took me a while to figure it out too, LOL.
