Have you checked to see if your fuses are good ? If they are, you may want to check power at the switch and then at the relay. Might have a pinched wiring somewhere.

Testimonial: "Hello, and Thank you, The only fuse is under hood fuse box, for the hazard and fine, no other fuses, that i can find?. The relay blinker hazard relay unit is it for the 1998 rl. its a big unit in the inside fuse box by left foot. I replaced, fairly pricey, $70, online. The left front blinker bulb was blown though, not the wire in it, but the bulb was black."

Is there a switch in the steering column by the lever? Are there any other relays, switches, fuses you know of?

Everything worked great till a month ago and the blinkers stopped working and I could hear noise in the unit down by my left foot in the inside fuse box. That is what I replaced, thinking it was that. Blinker Hazard big relay unit, like a rectangle. After replaced, Then no noises; but still blinkers and hazards didn't work?

If no more click.ing where the relay is at, then it could be the hazard switch or a pinched wire. Best thing to do it by pass switch to verify that the light circuit works. If still nothing, then check wiring

Thank you, How this happened. I blew a tire in Feb coming back from Florida and it shredded the whole front wheel well. took out the left front light and cut 6-7 wires. My brother and I re spliced the wires, and put a front light UNIT in from Ebay. Everything worked great for this year. Until a month ago the blinkers stopped.

You might of re-connected the wiring the wrong way. Might want to check circuit there.

Don't feel overwhelmed with the diagrams just keep focused on the specific wiring for the circuit you need to check

Thanks, I'll print out all possibilities. I can run to the library and get the Acura wiring book. Lots of fun.

WHERE IS THE BLINKER HAZARD RELAY SWITCH ACURA RL

Open either the driver's or passenger's side front door. The ends of the dashboard the but-up to the door when their closed should have a plastic cover/door that can be pulled out. Behind that cover should be a fuse box that might have the flasher unit.

so, i'm assuming you don't have hazard lights flashing when you push the button?

and you already checked the 15 Amp fuse on the under-hood fusebox driver side? as seen on page 440 of your owners manual?

and this odd rectangular shaped flasher unit is above the inner fuse box by the parking brake pedal as discussed in your other same question:

Where is the blinker unit?

Grouped as relays under the bonnet/ hood in a black box with plastic cover near to rear towards dashboard sometimes next to fuses. Some makes and models can even keep the relays inside under passenger glovebox.these relays sometimes jump away from connections due to vibration and bumps so they may reseat and work as normal

The hazards use a separate relay. listen for signal relay clicking to locate the correct relay. Consult your owners manual for fuse and relay layout.

HELLO- LOOKING FOR THE HAZARD LIGHT FUSE TO REPLACE ON MY VAN. MY BLINKERS STOPPED WORKING AS WELL. WILL THIS POTENTIALLY FIX THE PROBLEM

if the fuse is blown it will fix the problem, but it might be the blinker unit is faulty & needs to be replaced, you should find it under the dash on the drivers side,it may be a square or round unit with a connector plug on the top, the fuse should be in the fuse box under the hood or under the dash.......hope this helps.......cheers.

Blinkers just stopped working changed fuses didnt work

Do the hazards work? Is it all the blinkers? If so try the flasher fuse otherwise make sure the hazard switch isn't half pressed down. Some cars you can hit the hazard switch just a little so hazards won't come on but neither will the blinkers. If it's just 1 blinker change the bulb

make sure you replaced the correct directional light relay, and not the hazard relay. Check all fuses. check grounds at rear lights. If all of the following are good, your lumina would have a faulty multifunction switch.

Relay or Flasher unit will be located in or near the fuse box,,,your owners manual will tell you where it is,, they are easy to replace, and cheap to buy.
