This engine is computer controlled, so when it stalled out the computer will almost always set fault code(s) for the problem if it is a component like a crank sensor or other device, if the engine failed in some strictly mechanical way then no code or codes may be present. You need to have the system scanned (diagnostic connector under the dash drivers side) for fault codes as a first step toward repair.

If i take the jump box off and try to start it the car just clicks

The click indicates the starter solenoid is defective as long as you are sure the battery cable to the starter is clean and tight. This click is the give away symptom of the failed starter solenoid (mounted on the starter) The problem is due to the heavy copper contacts being burnt and eroded from normal arching during stat ups

You need to run a fault code test on the engine control computer. The diagnostic port is under the dash on the drivers side, you can rent or borrow a code reader from most chain auto parts stores like Autozone.

Spray starting fluid into the air intake of the engine, if it starts then dies you have no fuel pressure or fuel be injected.

Without any other diagnostics, My guess is the starter solenoid or the starter itself has failed. If you go the solenoid route, it is better to replace the starter as well. The solenoid is mounted to the starter, and to replace the solenoid, you have to remove the starter anyway, so just do both.

How can you decide if it is worth fixing if you have no idea what is wrong, it could be major or minor issue. Have it diagnosed before you decide. If it is not running the value of the truck is zip.

Wont start and makes clicking sound

Dead battery. Get a jump start, check as to why it went dead. Bring it to autozone, they will check it for free. You may also have a bad alternator.
