Hi,

1997 Buick 3800 Series II - VERY hard to start below 20 Degrees Fahrenheit

okay first question i would ask would be if this car has a plastic upper intake,, if it does then i would take a good lokk at it make sure there is no coolant from throtlebody gasket entering intake and also leave line to fuel reg unhooked before starting in cold weather and then start the car and see if there is any fuel coming out of it .. with the tool you have are you able to look at fuel readings, long and short trem readings and last would be to install a fuel pressure gauge to line and watch your readings......

How to change the cooling fan in my 94 subaru legacy

I would suggest getting a repair manuel from you local auto store, it will save you a lot of trouble. Also, check the fuses first, and if it is your fan, check Amazon, they have great prices on the entire fan assemply. If you buy the parts from the dealership, chances are they will just sell you the motor for three times the price and five times the hassel.

My brother is looking at an 01 grand cherokee with 88000 miles he's 21 and has a kid and girlfriend just wondering what the life expectancy is on these jeep the one he's lookin at is fully loaded laredo...

The Grand Cherokee has been a well-proven SUV since it's introduction in 1993...many improvements have been included since the first model...The Laredo is usually the sporty version...just under the Luxury trimmed Limited. Parts and service are available everywhere...a great plus when Chrysler purchased Jeep a few years back too. They do hold value well, but the best bet to compare purchase price now would be to contact your Bank for Loan Value figures on the 2001 with 88,000 miles. The rule of thumb is if you can purchase the Jeep for the Loan Value amount...it is a great Deal. Also you can look on-line for other similar Jeeps and see what they are selling for. At 88,000 miles some wear items may need attention...ie struts, brakes, tires, tune up parts...fule and all filter changes...Ask to see a service record if possible to see what repairs have been needed...ie carfax info on certain repairs...The Grand Cherokee is worth checking out. A great car for single, or Family...Hope this helps...:)

On my last service in February 2010, antifreeze level was recorded as minus 39 degrees. Do I need to get it replaced now?

Replace your antifreeze according to the manufacturer recommendation ...

rule of thumb ... every five years.

rule of thumb ... 50% water and 50% antifreeze.

Did your service center recommend you change your antifreeze? If not, leave it alone.

You dont live in an area of extreme cold do you ... like Ice Land or Northern Canada ... (((for security reasons, please dont tell me where you live))).

I need to seal up a head gasket in my 1990 cavalier. What do I use??

Autozone sells a great product that I have used on several cars with great results it's called block seal. make sure you follow the instructions to the letter on the bottle. By the way first time I used it was five years ago on my buddies car and he's still driving it, and it was so bad that after only 2 miles the radiator would completly empty into the crank case.

My Acura RS hatchback, standard has a complete rusted fuel line. Is it worth it to replace it? There are 334000 miles on her and other than the rusted fuel lines, she runs GREAT. Help!

My rule of thumb has always been to consider replacement cost. What could you sell your Integra for plus the cost of repairing the fuel lines. Take that as what can you buy, and chances are what you bough could have a serious problem. Almost always better off with what you know unless the cost of repair is too great.

Hope this helps you make up your mind.
Rich.

Cooling teperature sensor failure

What country did the car came from? Email the VIN number to a dealer in the original selling country with your problem, ask for the correct part number, see if that corresponds to your new part. The VIN is important; that'll tell them not only where but when it was made. Good Luck.
