Injector pulse is also based on fuel pressure I would check the fuel pressure regulator.

Robert, have vehicle scanned for diagnostic codes. Check for vacuum leaks and if you have not done recently give vehicle a complete tune up cap, rottor, wires, plugs, filter's,etc, including injector/throttle body cleaning. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Replaced computer, coilpack ,plug and plug wires, cooling sensor ,fuel regulator and the two sensors on the exhaust the car is still flooding

Sounds like you may have a bad injector. Are all cylinders flooding or only one? Pull the injectors from the intake and leave them connected to the fuel rail. Spin it over and see if they are spraying a fine mist or gushing out.

How to instal coil pack 3.1 multiport fi v6 1993 chevy cavalier

Are you sure it's the coil pack. I need more info do you have a check light if so go Auto Z or Advanced A or any big box auto parts store and ask them to plug your car in and get code for problem. I'm bettering your problem is not a coil Pak. It has no moving parts it just sits their practicing Tesala's law of induction, more like you have a bad spark plug cable, dirty fuel injector, bad spark plug or all 3. FYI a Fuel Injector is like an eletronic- solenoid operated Windex sprayer. It shoots a fine mist into the cylinder for ignition. If the Windex bottle (injector) spray nozzle gets clogged up and dribbles instead of misting it causes poor combustion and can shut you car down, go find a bottle of SEAFOAM injector cleaner an poor it in you gas when your down 1/4 tank then run it out of gas (just kidding) go as low as you can go. To check spark plug wires, get an empty Windex bottle, fill with h2o and go to a dark place and spray cables. You may see a little lightning storm or your engine may stttttuter. Good luck ,PS cleaning you injectors every 3k is not a bad idea due to the age of you vehicle, good luck Bret PS driving a97 Buick mysel I know what older cars can do

Hyundai Accent 1.5i is getting to much fuel killing the plug, why?

If you are sure it is getting too much fuel, check the vacuum operated fuel pressure regulator. Pull off the vacuum line to it and run the engine. Give it about a minute or two, and keep checking the vacuum line fitting on the regulator valve for any evidence of gas. If the regulator has failed, gas will start coming out. The vacuum line would just pull in that gas into the intake and cause a rich running condition.

Another possibility is an injector that is stuck or is sticking open.
You should probably have the fuel pressure tested for any gas problems, rich or lean. If you have throttle body injection (as opposed to multi port injection), you can observe the fuel spray out the bottom of the one or two injectors that are used on TBI systems. Remove the air breather, and whether the engine is just cranking over or is running at idle, look at the spray pattern the injector is making. It should be a cone pattern in a fine mist, kind of sprinkling on the throttle plates below them. If there is any dripping from the injectors, that is a problem, a clog or something. They should spray out in a mist-like cone pattern. The best chance for atomization of the fuel/air mixture.

Monte carlo stalls

I would first try a new fuel filter.
Look at the spray pattern of the injector(s) when the engine is cranking. If it is a fine mist cone spray pattern, that is good. If it drips, doesn't really spray down and out, the injector may be clogged-or partly stuck open with trash or debris.
If filter is good and injector spray looks good, just possible an ignition problem-check the pick up coil inside the distributor. The PCM receives this information to determine the timing of the spark.

Running rich, smelling rich

You may have a bad fuel injector or in need of a tune up badly. The early fuel injection (throttle body) had a single fuel injector that would clog and not spray fuel in a mist but would dump fuel. Does it run rough at idle? That is a good indicator. Some are rebuildable but I would suggest replacement. If you have not had a tune up in a while that should be done too.

I have a 93 camry v-6 3.0. I have to give it a shot of carb spray to get it started in the morning. Once its running I can also start it again without carb spray. I thought it was the cold start injector...

well does sound like a fuel problem but can also be a coolant temp sensor problem, sensor may be give computer false temp and it causes lean fuel mixture at first start, also you may want to check that fuel preasure at no start condition make sure its at specs, it can also be bad sparkplug wires or cap not sending enough spark, good luck.

1990 toyota pickup engine won't start

CHECK THE COLD START INJECTOR ON THE INTAKE MANIFIOLD.
1. UNPLUG THE POWER WIRES TO THE IGNITION COIL(NOT THE HI VOLTAGE WIRE TO THE DISTRIBUTOR)
2, UN BOLT AND PULL OUT THE COLD START INJECTOR(LEAVE IT PLUGED IN TO POWER AND FUEL
3. BREIFLY CRANK OVER THE ENGINE AND WATCH THE SPRAY FROM THE TIP. (A FIRE EXTINGUSHER WOULD BE A VERY GOOD IDEA)
4. HOW DID THE SPRAY LOOK
WAS THE SPRAY QUICK, IN A FINE MIST? IF SO ITS OK AND NOT THE PROBLEM.
IF IF IT RAN ON, A STEADY STREAM OR POURED OUT THERE IS SOME THING WRONGE WITH THE COLD START INJECTOR

Bad idle running when cold

The first thing I would do is a compression test, even if you just do that hole, after that, just put a new plug in because you already have the old one out. If you have decent compression (anything over 125psi) and the new spark plug doesn't solve the problem, I would be very suspicious of the injector. When the engine is cold, the fuel must be atomized really well to support combustion. Typically fuel injectors do a great job of this because they spray a fine mist into the port. This is what makes injected engines so nice to start and drive in the cold weather. However, if the injector gets fouled or plugged, it will squirt a thin stream that does not ignite well unless the engine is hot. Sound familiar?
