SOURCE: Service 4 wheel drive

The service 4 wheel drive light comes on because there's a problem. The biggest causes of this I've seen are a software glitch in the final drive control module which the dealer can fix by reprogramming and the other is usually the electric actuator on the front axle housing. The only light that comes on by a timer is the one that says, "perform service" in your overhead console or odometer.

SOURCE: where is the purge valve located on a 2004 honda LX?

It is with a 2 wire Black connect located next to the throttle body. Locate the green cap on the evap hose and follow it to the throttle body and that is the purge valve.

SOURCE: computer light says service 4 wheel drive switch

According to the mechanic who works on my 94 Jeep it's one of three things:
1) Corrosion on the connector to the switch (which is located on top of the transfer case).
2) A bad switch. Part cost about $22.00 or,
3) A bad console display. he says they have had a fair number of console display units fail.

Where do i find the purge valve on a jeep grand cherokee 2001 i have engine codes p0445,p0443,p0442, gas mph seems to have dropped, muffler and tail pipe have turned white. What could be going on?

The purge valve is located under the hood on the drivers side fender, the most likely cause of your problem is a cracked emissions hose near the vapor canister. To access the leak detection pump and vapor canister remove drivers side rear wheel and inner splash shield. then remove the metal shield that protects the canister and check all of the hoses.

2004 jeep grand cherokee when I shift it in 4 low the 4 wheels spin when its in all wheel drive just the back spins. I don't have a clue and I am a mechanic

My knowledge would point to either some sensor in the electrical system of the 4wd (Is it electric 4x4 or does it have the stick shift)

If nothing there, you may just need to replace your transfer case.
Don't jump to that conclusion though, not the most financially easy fix.

How can i use the 4 x 4 in my 2000 grand cherokee laredo (6 cyl) i dont have the owners manual and i dont know how to use my 4x4 on snow or something like that

With the Jeep in park, move the left shifter to 4 wheel drive. Proceed to put right shifter into drive, proceed to drive. Only use 4wheel drive when, mud, use 4 wheel lo in steep incline or when really bogged down.

Hope this helps

2004 jeep liberty stuck in 4 wheel drive low - can't get it to go to either 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive high

a reluctant transfer case can sometimes be coaxed by shifting into reverse, backing up 10 feet, and then back to forward.

2004 jeep grand cherokee overland, 2.7 CRD, half to full lock, left or right, front end juddering and scrubbing tyres off

Sounds like it is in 4 wheel drive mode.
If you have a switch to disconnect the 4 wheel drive it may not be working.
If the vehicle is full time 4 wheel drive or computer controlled 4 wheel drive you have most likely a locked in full 4 wheel drive mode situation.
Not good on dry pavement.

4 wheel drive not working

sounds to me like the transfer case clutches are worn out. also the fluid could be low or dirty. try draining and refilling the transfercase with clean fluid. if it is still not working after driving it around for a few miles then you may need to replace or overhaul your transfercase
