Be sure the bolts on the backing plate are removed and then put a slide hammer on the lug nuts and pull the bearing out, it is on the end of the shaft in the hub just behind the lug nuts.

DOME LIGHTS AND RUNNING BOARD LIGHTS DON'T TURN OFF ON MY 2002 FORD EXCURSION

One or more of the jab switches are probably faulty, this creates a open circuit where the lights you mentioned remain on. To deduce which switch might be faulty, open each door and manually press the jab switch until you find the one that does not turn the lights off. Hopefully, this will FixYa!

2000 ford excursion. battery is dead and the keys are inside. how do I unlock it?

You're going to have to try to slip a wire between the glass and the door and try to pull the lock open. Sometimes the police carry a slim jim that will slide down the door and pull the lock

Starter location 2003 Ford Excursion 7.3 L D

Look on the rear lower end of engine--Follow + battery cable.

If you can get leverage laying on your back to unbolt the old starter, slide under there. Your new starter should have step-by-step install directions. ALWAYS disconnect the battery when replacing a starter. Good Luck!

you will need to locate the hood release cable behind the pull handle and pull the cable with pliers and once the hood is open you can rig something through the grill to open. But I would recomend replacing the cable or the pull release to keep others out from under hood.
