I haven't checked the voltage on the switching wire on the ICM plug, but terminal A & D both have 12 volts with key on and w voltmtr checking ground wire in plug to 12 v on batter I read 12 v. so assume getting good ground. At 1 point I wasn't getting voltage at term D and spliced in new plug. seems to be ok now.

I have a 1999 chevy silverado giving me error code p1351. I have replaced the ignition control module 3 times now and it keeps going bad again within 2 months. What could be causeing my problem?

Four digit codes are brand specific, in your case code 1351 means the computer is finding high voltage in the control circuit for the coil which does go to the ICM. The ICM grounds the coil like a set of points once did.
My guess would be a faulty coil or a ground connection somewhere. The coil may be grounding thru the ICM instead of thru the block. Or the ICM ground is not strong enough to carry the current from the coil.

96 chevy cavalier had oil pressure issue. Later found it was due to bad crankshaft. Drive it to neighbors house and we pulled the engine and replaces the crank now once installed car is not getting any...

I ASSUME its a 2.2l VIN "4"? Better be SURE you put in the correct crank. Different years have different tone wheels for the Crank Sensor. If it ran before, it should run now. I think 2 wire connector is for power to coils Power to Pink wire comes from IGN fuse A. Pink is 12V, Black is ground, 6 wire plug is for ICM.(bolted to base of coil pack) cant bench test anything. Should be a code 42 if cranked for 5 seconds and no start if its a CKP issue.

I am getting code p1351 on a chevy s10 it will not start could this be the timing chain

No this is not a timing chain
P1351 CHEVROLET - Ignition Coil Control Circuit High Voltage

Conditions for Setting P1351:

The voltage on the ignition control circuit exceeds 4.9 volts, and the engine speed is less than 250 RPM.

Bottom line?

Most likely its a bad Ignition Control Module.

1997 CAMARO TURNS OVER BUTVWONT START, REPLACED CRANK SENSOR, IGNITION MODULE, & COIL PACK. USED CODE SCANNER AND READ NO CODES. POWER TO ALL THE ABOVE ITEMS BUT NO SPARK BETWEEN SPARK PLUG WIRE AND...

the icm, coil, and crank sensor all read off the opti. Chances are you have a bad optispark (distributor). I just went thru the same issue and found it to be the problem.

check your fuel pressure as well, you may have anissue with your fuel pump and or relay
