Question about 2002 Lincoln Blackwood
The truck was running great but needed an oil change. oil was changed and vehicle started a couple of minutes later the vehicle died. it was restarted but barely. i checked the oil and it is overfilled, oil up the the start of the twist on the dipstick. could this be the cause of the vehicle not running? and if so what kind of damage could this have caused.
This could cause it to not want to start. Highly unlikely but there is always that chance, it causes a resistance at start up on the crankshaft and higher pressure under the rods. It most likely didn't do any damage, but it could cause a problem if you were driving and not just starting. I would just do another oil change and see what happens.
