Question about Cars & Trucks
Shock absorbers have to be the required engineered length as they have a measurement to operate in for the suspension travel
using any items of the incorrect length results in the shocky failure, (broken rod, rubbers, mount in body tearing out bending , jamming and stopping the suspension from working, loss of steering control), body damage , suspension failure
as shock absorbers have a working service life of less than 60,000 miles, ( less if used in off road situations) the use of used units is not recommended
