Question about Dodge Caliber
You should be able to without having to reprogram. Just keep in mind that the vehicle is in the junkyard for a reason and hopefully not a transmission problem.

SOURCE: Transmission Control Module
the modules are universal, they are not car specific, and yes it is located in your main fuse box under the hood, it is rectangular and says fuses on it..... the inside of the lid should tell you what is for what.

i doubt if you will get one ,these newer vehicles use encrypted software and modules so they do not use wires as such ,only 5 cables -two bus lines a perm 12v feed a earth and a 12v ignition switched feed .sorry--- again dealer only

you will need to disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery, remove right front wheel, remove underbody air dam, remove accessory drive splash shield, remove the accessory drive idler pulley. Next loosen the lower mounting bolt, then loosen the a/c compressor and relocate(pull down and to the outboard side of the vehicle to make room for the alternator the come out) next uplug field circuit from alternator and the B+ terminal nut and wire. remove upper mounting bolt on the alternator and lower mounting bolt. relocate the terminal to the other side of the a/c line. Rotate alternator pulley down and slide down and out of vehicle. Yes, its a pain in the ****.

SOURCE: I have a 2007 dodge caliber. Recently the battery died. After replacing it I all of a sudden had codes p161b and p0700 P161- control module torque performance condition P0700- transaxle control system
Battery changes can mess with a computer's settings. (I've had it happen to mine!) Restart car and wait 1-15 min. and see if codes persist.
