Question about 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora

My lights won't go off, parking lights so it is draining the battery. I went to get a diagnoised? spelling... but they couldn't find where to plug it in. They said it is usually under the dash. I lost my manual! HELP! where is it that they plug that in???? the alternator is fine and so is the battery. Could it be a switch or a short? Can't find the fuse either. SO I am just unplugging and pluggin in the battery. HELP! SINGLE MOM

It could be th light switch or the emergency flasher partially applied. The fuse panel should be on th dor jam whn you open the drivers and some on the passengers as well.

My 92 volvo 240 has been sitting outside all summer. i have started it a few times and went to start it today. it won't do anything. what could be the problem and a solution?

"It won't do anything" means that there are no dash lights, no buzzers, nothing?
Any car has very slight electrical drains when it is shut off. For one thing, the clock is running, but there are a number of other tiny loads as well. With a good battery, you should be able to park a car for six months to a year and still start it.
However, if you start the car several times without running it long enough to recharge the battery, or if the drain is larger than it should be due to electrical problems or aftermarket accessories, you can get a failure to start.
Unfortunately, maintanence-free batteries don't tolerate being run completely dead very well, and many owners have unhappily found that draining an older battery once or twice was the last straw that ended their battery's life.
I suggest that you borrow a charger or a set of jumper cables to start the car, and drive it 30 minutes or so to fully charge the battery. If you have more problems, get the battery load tested at a shop that sells batteries to see if it is still OK.

2006 Chevrolet Uplander Parking Lights Stay On

My 2006 Uplander would not shut off the parking lights. I came here for a solution. I saw the answer here, actually the question, and I used the key fob to lock the vehicle. The lights went off. That was a temporary solve. Now, is this a "glitch" or a "feature"?
