If you have done this already, then bleed the cooling system, this is all you lack, just get the air out of the system, two bleed ports, one on the thermostat housing, and one on the engine near the water pump, just bleed them out as the car warms up,the thermostat bleeder last,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

2002 Jeep liberty overheating with a/c on then blows hot air

so the RAD is going to be good with leaks that it?
it has to hold pressure or it will get too hot,
14psi pressure,
I take my IR heat gun and check all rad tubes
top and bottom
and find, 3 are not 50 degree, drop end to end read same
those 3 are clogged, now you have 2 reasons to replace that bad rad.
something smokes, what?
it dont overheat parked, what is outdoor temp, 75f like here or 0F?
it must overheat idling, if it does moving.
how fan it not?
wont overheat A/C OFF you said.
so its marginal

ether rad tubes clogged
or fans dead,
one or both.

I have 2002 lincoln lse v8 when driving on highway no over heating problems ,going slow inside town start overheating what could be the problem tkanks

Fans are not coming on for the radiator so when your at a stop no air is flowing through the radiator. Check to make sure the fans are kicking on before the car starts to overheat.

2001 V6 FREELANDER RAN OUT OF COOLANT.AFTER TOPPING UP NOTICED THE TEMPERATURE GOES UP TO MIDDLE THEN FAN KICKS IN BUT SWITCHES OFF SOON AS ENGINE SWITCHED OFF

you may have a leak somewhere thats maybe why you had to top it up,generally a vehicle doesn't use water unless there is a leak causing it is lose water, it is quiet normal for the fans to come on when the engine starts to overheat that is what they are designed to do, it is also normal for them to cut out when the engine is switched off,you need to check for any leakage......hope this helps.....cheers.

2002 ford taurus overheats. Just replaced radiator, waterpump, thermostat and heater core. what else can i do to repair. also, ford flushed the system.

About the only thing that you didn't list is the cooling fan. Are you sure that it's working properly? Drive the car until the engine starts to get hot. After awhile you should hear the cooling fan come on. After you have driven the car for a while, park it and open up the hood. If the upper radiator hose is almost too hot to touch, then check to see if the coolant fan is running. If it isn't, then turn the AC switch to "AC MAX". If the fan still doesn't come on, then a malfunction is indicated. Try to locate the fan control relay and swap it with another relay that has the same part number. Use a relay that will allow the engine to run. Allow the engine to reach operating temperature and see if the fan comes on after switching the AC switch to "AC MAX". If the fan now operates, then replace the relay. I hope this is helpful to you. Thank you for trying Fixya.com. If this does not solve your problem, then post a comment and I will respond by getting into more advanced diagnostics.

I have a 2002 Ford Taurus. When I turn the ac on the car overheats. Also the water level is low after about a week. I just replaced the thermostat. What could be the problem?

It sounds to me like your radiator fan(s) may not be working. There are 2. Both should come on when the A/C is turned on. If not, then the fan circuit needs to be verified for proper function before replacing the radiator fan motor(s).

Running hotter than normal looks like it started leaking bad under motor now

There is well-established procedure for trouble shouting the over heating.
Does the car overheat in driving mode?
Yes.
Are you losing coolant?
No. Check water pump (including belt) and thermostat.
If yes make a radiator compression test. You might have a bad cylinder head gasket.
The car doesn’t overheat in driving mode, but overheat in idle.
Does the fan runs?
No.
Check the fan assembly for a bad motor, loose fan blades, or bad connector.
Check the codes for a bad temperature sensor.
Check cooling fan relay and fuse.
If this isn’t enough to solve problem, then send the car at dealer for a “check and advice”.

Engine Overheat

if the guage goes down when you drive then it is most likely the temp sensor that detects heat and kicks on the fan.

Over heating, and no AC

Cooling Fan Malfunction. Your radiator fans are most likely not working. That's why the temperature is OK when you're driving full speed and the wind is cooling your radiator. You need to check and/or replace your cooling switch module and radiator fans (most likely it's the cooling module). If you were sitting idle or in stop-n-go traffic for an extended period of time, your car WOULD overheat because the fans aren't kicking in cooling your radiator - then you would see all of the cooling system water spill out of the coolant reservoir, before this would happen your temperature gauge would go to the red and the digital dislpay would flash a thermometer (indicating you're about to overheat in 2 mintues). I hope this helps someone out there - Yes, it happened to me in the middle of nowhere.
