Add fluid transmission

TRANSMISSION FLUID

Checking automatic transmission fluid

The 5R55N transmission does not have a transmission fluid dipstick.

Refer to your scheduled maintenance guide for scheduled intervals for

fluid checks and changes. Your transmission does not consume fluid.

However, the fluid level should be checked if the transmission is not

working properly, i.e., if the transmission slips or shifts slowly or if you

notice some sign of fluid leakage.

Transmission fluid should be checked and, if required, fluid
should be added by a qualified technician.

What do i need to tune up my 2003 nissan maxima

Depending on the mileage it could need a few things. Your basic tune up will include replacing the distributor cap & rotor, ignition wires, spark plugs (6), and the fuel filter. Check this link for your maintenance schedule. http://www.nissanextendedwarranty.com/maintenance/nissan-maintenance-schedules.html

Should say in the manual. Usually check all hoses and rubber parts, brakes, fluids, timing belt etc.

What is 100,000 mile check

The vehicle is 22 years old.
Iam supprised, it is still on the road

Do you not have a preventative maintenance schedule
for all your vehicles?

Is that schedule not the same, for any make and model,
regardless of any manufactures recommendations,
which are stupid in the first place.?

Not to be sarcastic, but if you ask that type of question
I have to ask. What knowledge do you have about vehicles?

There is no set in stone,or federal law that required you to do
any specific work on you vehicles. They are mechanical devices
that need lots of attention,of coarse.

Write down all you know, and have ever done, and get to work

Everyone needs a log book and keep it up to date.

The RPM's fluctuate after the car warms up. I think I need a tune-up.

The maintenance tune ups, for most of the cars, are scheduled at 30K, 60K , 90K miles. If you are late on the scheduled maintenance tune up, of course your car needs it, but to find the problem you need a "Check and Advice", only at Volvo dealer. It cost $65 to $100, on the top of tune up cost.

The motor get hot and it use alot of gas!!

It must be time to check on your regular maintenance schedule. So start from the timing of the engine, check for the coolant , the water pump, and definetely the fuel pump. The engine will need a trimming for fuel. Since the mileage is not mentioned , you must check specifically on your maintenance schedules. Hope you get this corrected. good day

When does a 2007 Mitsubishi galant need a tune up?

  1. Try this site to see if you can get some more specific advice, otherwise usually the service schedule depends on the mileage of the car. http://repairpal.com/cars/mitsubishi/galant
  2. Call a local dealer or two tell them your mileage model and year of your car and ask what the recommended service schedule is. Some stuff they recommend you may not need so check to see if it is a real need or just a money maker for the dealer. You can always get the work done elsewhere.
  3. I hope this helps you. God bless!

2003 GMC sierra 1500 ( dealer rip off )

if you went to a dealer then that sounds about right. they tend to be expensive. you got to remember though that most the time 90k mile maintenence includes radiator flush, oil change, tranny oil change, emissions checks, possibly water pump check. cooling system pressure check. abs checks, brake checks, steering and suspension checks. there is alot of maintenance that can be done. you need a list of the stuff they are trying to charge you. honestly if they do all the work required then 3300 my not be to bad
