Question about 2005 Mitsubishi Galant
The balance shaft belt broke and now the motor is making a loud noise-kind of like a rod knock just not as loud.the timing belt is still fine and the motor runs. will a broken balance shaft belt damage the motor or will replaceing the belt fix the noise?
You sould replace the belt along with the timing belt. If it gets caught in the timing belt you will have MAJOR EGINE DAMAGE!
