Question about 2003 Volkswagen Passat
On our 2003 Passat, the power window's, door locks, trunk lock, and sun roof all don't work. None of the fuses appear to be blown. Our local garage says it's likely a computer glich, but VW only provides the codes to its dealers. Is this somehow fixable without taking it to the VW dealer and paying $75-95 an hour?
Thanks for any insights.
Well, your local garage is correct. Most cars now a days have computers for everything. That is one computer that runs those things. But before you go into replacing an expensive motor, go through and get a wiring diagram from your local parts store, and then see where the wiring all have in common, this may only be the computer, but may be a fuse of some sort. hope that helps.
