Changeing headlights

I assume you're referring to the bulbs and not the entire assembly:

First, you have to remove the turn signal assembly. For this, you need a small star shaped screwdriver and remove the 1 screw holding the turn signal in place. Pull straight out and remove the bulbs from the signal assembly by turning the sockets about 1/4 turn. Set that aside.
Second, there's 3 bolts that will be holding the headlight assembly in place. One is accessable from the engine compartment with the hood up. The other two are located under the headlight. (All of them face the front of the car). Remove all three and the headlight will be able to swing out, giving you access to the sockets and bulbs. Remove the bulb connector from the bulb first, then twist the bulb retaining ring and pull the bulb straight out after the ring is off.
Reassembly is the reverse of disassembly.

If you're looking to completely remove the entire headlight assembly, it's the same process, but the piece that lets the headlight swing out (instead of coming off completely) must be removed. It's a simple plastic ball and socket swivel. Just tug hard and the ball will come loose from the socket.

If I've helped, please vote!

How to install a headlight

Locate the headlight bulb in the engine compartment, in the rear of the headlight assembly. It has a wiring harness connector attached to it.

Remove the wiring harness connector from the bulb. Release the locking tab on the connector and pull it off the bulb. Lay it aside

Locate the locking ring on the back of the headlight assembly. Turn the lock ring 1/8 of a turn counterclockwise to release the lock from the headlight assembly. Remove the lock ring and set it in a safe place.Remove the headlight bulb from the headlight assembly, pulling it straight back toward the engine. Discard the old bulb, unless you are reusing the bulbs in the Jeep.Insert a new bulb into the headlight assembly. (Be careful not to touch the glass when handling the bulb. The oils from your hands can cause it to overheat and shatter.)Install the headlight lock ring onto the headlight assembly and turn it clockwise 1/8 of a turn to lock the bulb into the assembly. Connect the wiring harness connector to the new bulb, ensuring that it seats completely on the bulb.Move to the opposite headlight and repeat the process to replace the second bulb. Turn on the lights to verify they are working correctly.
