SOURCE: sound under the car

Is it a clicking sound while making turns & accelorating ?
If so - could be cv joints.. Check the cv boots for seporation, splits, tares etc..

If not - could be a number of things.. Hrad to say from your description.. Please add detail..

Hope this helps !!

SOURCE: My 2002 Toyota Tundra sounds

Sounds like there may be debris trapped between the brake rotor and the metal backing plate behind the rotor.

The problem is probably a loose rocker arm or a broken rod. You can easily access the rocker arms by taking top cover off the engine. It should be 6 or 8 bolts and looks like an upside down bread loaf pan. There will be a little bit of oil (assuming the engine is off) but it shouldn't be too messy. There will be a number of rockers which are levers with springs on one side. One bolt should hold down each rocker, just make sure that none of them are loose. Since it is a "V" engine (V6 or V8) there will be two of these covers, half of the rockers under each one.

If all of the rockers are tight (don't crank them down excessively just check to see if one is very loose). then it might be a broken rod. To remove the rod you need to remove the rocker arms one at a time and pull out the rod with a special tool that you can probably get from your local parts store. When you find it they can also sell you a replacement rod.

If you want to narrow it down you can turn the engine on with one sides cover off (but hold a paper towel over the rockers or you will get sprayed with oil) and listen to see if you can hear which one is broken.

Major gas leak above spare tire

I think you have some rusty gas line, remove the spare tire and check the fuel line again.

Buzzing or humming sound increases as fuel level in tank decreases

open the trunk, pull out the spare tire, carpet and liner to see if there is an access panel to allow you to see the top of the gas tank. if so you will see a circular insert in the tank with hoses and wires coming from it, there will be a round lock washer around the edge of the circle sitting above a fat O-ring, turn one way tightens, turn other way loosens to allow you to remove the fuel pump and sender. i would start there and make sure the lock washer is fully engaged, and if so is the whole thing loose or the fuel pump hose loose? if loose maybe some wiggle room with that O-ring. Sounds to me like your fuel pump is not snug on its stem so the lower the gas level, the more it vibrates.
if you do not have a service panel above the tank you are looking at dropping it out of the car to make the same inspection. that is a headache and a shop should do it.

Make sure its not some other thing such as: loose axle mounts/u-bolts, worn differential internals, bad u-joints, something loose in back like the jack or spare tire, loose gas tank straps. Good luck

How do I remove the spare tire from my Mercury Villager GS

Chances are the tire has "stuck" itself to the bottom of the frame of the vehicle. This happens when a new tire comes into contact with a clean metal surface and remains there under pressure for a period of time.

If you've unscrewed the holder, and can see that the mechanism is loose from the tire, then use your foot or a 2 x 4 or pipe or something and try to wedge/lever against the tire to break it loose. Make sure you arm, leg, foot, or had is not under the tire as it will likely fall to the ground, and those things are heavy.

Poor fuel milage on 2002 tundra. sr5 ext cab 4x4, 4.7l

when you tow your milage is going to go way down. If this is something you do a lot Then you need to invest in a on the fly ajustable computer and it will change your computer settings for the job you are doing on the fly. It will give you better performance for towing when you want to tow. better milage for driving when you want to drive. You can also use it if you want to change the tire size, it will allow you to change the tire size without loosing your speedomiter settings.
