SOURCE: Bad odor (Wire sheathing?) from vents when fan is

ive run into this problem many times, what is happening is theres leafs and other debri in the heater box, there a blower resistor that controls speed of blower, this unit has open resistor wire coils that heat up to desapate the heat and what happens is the debri is lighting up and bruning, dangerous fire hazard. remove blower motor and resistor use vacuum to clean out,you will see resistor area with debri, the resistor is screwed into box near the blowermotor, hope this helps,

SOURCE: Car starts fine and seems to idle normal with only

Check your fuel pressure regulator, just pull the vacuum line off of it and see if it is leaking fuel, it is found on the fuel rail, will be the only vacuum line on the fuel rail.

SOURCE: I have a 1991 Olds cutlass ciera 3.3 v6, starts up

Good Evening, you might want to check those injectors, I can not remember for certain but that setup was sequential and when one or two have a problem it would take out the rest. Ohm out the injectors and see what you have there.

You can try "belt dressing." You need to make sure that its the belt thats making the noise.

Auto transmisson having to warm up before shifting

Other than removing & clean the valve body, I would say
your trans is about worn out

Any trans is only good for about ten years & only
if the fluid is changed every 3 years

Too late to do fluid now
That won't fix a thing

May have to rebuild it

Getting warm to work, tells you the valve body is
expanding & then trying to work,so try cleaning it

No such thing as a tune-up

All you did was replace spark plugs which should be
done every 3 years

Oxygen Sensors get replaced at 100,000 miles which you
also did

You most likely have an intake gasket leak, smoke test
the entire Evap System & Engine

You also are have bad igniton coils

Cold start rough idle

If you replaced the plugs, did you replace the intake manifold gaskets if not, then replace them. They must be replaced every time the manifold is removed.

Have a '94 S-10 Blazer Tahoe 4X4 and it starts

My suspicion is a starter going bad. Sometimes when starters get old and worn they will start good when the engine is cold but not when the engine is warmed up. Did you perhaps notice that lately is seemed to drag when you tried starting, especially warm or it seemed to crank a little slower? I'd replace the starter. Hope this helps.

Sounds like the park shift solenoid has some water or other material such as some kind of drink in the cable that is freezing. Is it a console shifter or steering column shifter?

How many quarts of tranny fluid to fill this transmisson

it usaullt tkaes any where from 5-6 qts. the best way is to take your time by starting with 4 qts and starting the car. with it running check the level(it will look very high but one side of the dip stick will be lower than the other side. use that to measure off of.) Add fluid till it reads on the cold level on the dipstick and make sure to move the shifter though out all the gears. Let the car warm up for at least 10-15 minute to bring the fluid level all the way up to be sure it is at the right level.

crankshaft position sensor. when it gets hot and your car starts acting up pour some cold water on it. if your car works fine for a few minutes then thats it. You will find the cps on the forward side of the crankshaft behind the pulley. Also look to see if it is positioned correctly. ie the metal splines on the pulley are passing through evenly with clearance on both sides. there is a through bolt on the sensor bracket that you loosen to adjust the sensor back and forth.
