SOURCE: dodge diesel lost its prime!

You have to loosen your injector lines one at a time and have someone crank the engine. once you get fuel to that injector, tighten it and move onto the next one. This will be a lengthy process and make sure you have good batteries cause this process could drain them. Good luck

Why is my 2007 dodge 6.7 turbo diesel not getting f i el to the engine after i replaced the fuel pump and filter?

Sounds like you neglected to prime the system to get ALL the air out. Or if you have a "lift" pump, it is bad or not working properly.

You might have an air lock in the fuel system. The lines from the injector pump possibly need broken loose at the injectors and cycle the fuel pump several times until nothing but pressurized fuel comes out.

I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 6.6 turbo diesel I ran out of diesel I put to gallons of diesel and now it won't start what can I do

The fuel system needs to to have the air bled out of it. I suggest having a technician do it for you to prevent serious injury and damage to the vehicle.

When I drive along it's all fine, but when I put my foot down the car starts to skip like its short of fuel.

Do not do anything if it is a common rail diesel without more instruction. Common rail can be very dangerous & the following instructions are not for common rail. Probably is short of fuel. When was the fuel filter last replaced & the sediment trap drained. A lot of diesels also have a lint filter (fine mesh) located in the pump where the fuel line goes out of the filter into the pump. You just remove & blow out with compressed air. Do you know how to prime & bleed the system. Did the problem start just after haveing a fuel filter fitted?

fuel filter assembly is fitted with a prime pump. you can use it to prime the fuel. another way is to loosen each line of the injectors to make lose the trapped air.

How to reinstall the fuel injection pump on toyota 4.2 l turbo diesel(1 hd-fte)engine

Actually this is a relativly simple fix, it is located near the diesel filter {R/H of engine} and is merely removing the feed lines and plugs, replacing the gaskets and pump, you will have to prime the unit before attempting to drive, be generous with the diesel when priming, as running them dry can be costly. replace the filter while your at it and remember to fill the chamber with fresh fuel before sealing it closed. Good luck, hope it helps.

Starts first time, no smoke on normal running, then rev up and white smoke comes out??? no wrong feul!!! changed air, oil and feul filters, but still throwing out white smoke on reving... can anyone help?...

It could be a coolant or transmission fluid leak in the combustion chamber. Check your coolant and transmission fluid to see if one or both are low. White smoke from the exhaust is a classic symptom of a blown head gasket, have your cooling system pressure checked. If that checks out good then have your transmission checked.
