Question about Cars & Trucks
The same light came on in my Passat, After many suggestions on how to fix it failed, I tried pulling the fuse for the airbags (they have their own dedicated fuse for safety reasons) Waited about 15 minutes and put it back in. The light hasn't came on since. Be cautious to remove the proper fuse only, and replace it before starting the car. If that doesn't work, you could try disconnecting the battery for around 20 - 30 minutes, that'll drain the internal back-up battery and reset the onboard computer. Other than that, you may need to have a mechanic with an OBD diagnostic scanner look at it - any dealership or garage will have one, the price of the scan can vary wildly so shop around before going. Hope that helped. Brother Grim
