Vehicle heaters work by passing coolant that has been heated into the passenger compartment and through a radiator device and then back to the engine. The device is called a heater core. If you have not got heat there may be a blockage in the heater core and it might need to be flushed clean.

follow the rod that it moves and see if it is connected to the valve device near the firewall . see if it is broken or not moving the valve .
