1990 Honda Accord EX manual transmission sticks in 5th gear, if i come off an exit ramp at low speed or stop the transmission sticks in fifth gear and almost impossible to pull it out of fifth gear however...

I would check to see if the fluid is low, and replace it with Honda manual transmission fluid first. Honda manual transmissions originally used engine oil, never gear oil, then Honda came out with manual trans fluid. Either would work, but the Honda manual fluid would be better.

Show me how to tunne up the honda tmx

Are you refering to a engine service or to what i call a tune up and thats to make it go a lot faster than it was designed too ,if its the later then buy a jaguar or a american muscle car thats designed to handle the performance and stop again although they do seem to suffer from corners unlike euroepon muscle cars (top gear comparison mercV dodge corvette)But all snide comment and hints at my american cousins is purely a british thing ,like my grandmother used to say over paid ,over ***** and over here but they do seem to have lost their sense of humour at times.TMX is one of them fancy over revving japanese cars they use for drifting like the nissan skyliner and the toyota thingy as well if iam not mistaken .

I purchased a toyota corolla 1.6 advanced mmt 2008 model. I am extremely worried about the gearbox of this vehicle. I have had 2 toyota's before this one, my family members have had at least twelve...

a toyota transmission is much like a honda trans, there are gear to gear trans, like a motorcycle, they don't use bands, clutches, etc.so there shifts are different but don't be fooled by the shift a toyota and honda have the 2 best transmissions in the business,I would suggest getting a bigger model of toyota if you still have issues with the shift, the corrolla is the lower end try a camry, but to answer your question that shift is normal.

FIX A GRINF IN THRID GEAR HONDA CIVIC SI 99

You are probably going to need a syncro on third gear, trans has to come out and be taken apart.

How do I check automatic trans fluid in a 1997 Honda Civic? In the past I've always check fluid with the car idleing in park at normal operating temperature. But the Honda dealer is telling me to check it...

That's because you don't understand how a Honda trans works. Think of it as an automatic manual trans, that is Honda's trans are the only one's where all the gears are constantly meshed. When a Honda trans shifts, it engages that specific gear. All the gears are meshed, a Honda trans engages a clutch pack which gives power through that specific meshed gear, just as you would if you were shifting a manual trans. Now since all the gears are constanly meshed, they are inmersed in trans fluid, If you check it while it is running, It will show less, plus the fact on some Honda models the gears are right next to the dip stick and if your not careful, the dip stick can get pulled into the gears and destroy the trans.
