Question about Nissan Cars & Trucks
You have the DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes checked , then follow diagnostic flow chart to find the problem , (sensor , wiring etc..) Then fix it and then clear the code with a scan tool ! If the light is on there is a problem with something affecting the emissions on the vehicle . If not familiar with this suggest you take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop that is .

Probably sensors! I have already replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor once, nissan replaced it once under recall and now it is bad again! Plus my speed sensor is bad too! Go to any part store and get diagnostic test ran, it will tell what sensors are bad.

this problem could be caused by the mass air flow censor, i had the same problem with my car. it is really pricey at the dealer so you might want to check elsewhere for this part. I found one at a scrap yard for 85% less that the dealer and i also got life time warranty, the dealer does not offer any warranty on this part.

gadiame: The code P1400 is for the EGR valve and Evap canister purge control solenoid valve circuit.
An improper voltage signal is being sent to the ECM through the solenoid valve.
As far as whether the engine using a timing belt or gear? You mean chain? This engine uses a timing chain.
If I can answer any other questions, write me.

put a obd2 comp on the car and clear the codes.
or goto auto zone and ask one of them to use there obd2 and clear the trouble codes for you for free.
you can try disconnecting the positve or negitive terminal on the battery and then going in the car and starting the car to drane all power from the system yes act like your going to start the car and hold the key on for about 2 or 3 seconds.then go get a glass of tea and then put battery back on and restart car.drink tea.
