First, does your engine turn over when you turn the key to the start position ? If yes, may want to check for spark. Also may want to check for any codes in the ECM.

Mitsubishi triton mh 92 turns over but will not start

Well it’s either fuel or electrical. First off it does have gas in it hopefully. Even tho the gauge may say it does sometimes the gauges quit working right so let’s make sure u have gas first. Next if u do have gas, pop open your air filter compartment and have someone turn the car over and spray some starting fluid down the airfilter tube. If it starts for a second then your not getting gas. If that’s the case, I’d check the fuel pump relay first. It’s in the fuse box under hood usually. There’s usually another delay in the fuse box that’s the same so just swap places with one and try to start it. If it starts u need a new fuel pump relay. If it doesn’t then I’d have to check to make sure the fuel filter isn’t clogged up. If it’s not, then it’s probably gonna be your fuel pump. If the starting fluid doesn’t nothing then it’s gonna be electrical, in which it could be numerous things. If the service engine light is on, read the code and see what code it’s throwing. I’d look at the crank shaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor probably first assuming your computer (ecm) is good.

How do i fix a fuel pump that's not working when i turn the key on ?

Hit your fuel tank with a 4 ib hand sledge as hard as you can under where the electronic fuel pump is located. If it starts abs gets pressure, it's your fuel pump. Buy a new one and replace, there not servicable. I'd buy a whole module. Recommend buying an OE part and fuel filter if your not comfortable with the repair, please take it to a professional. It is money, but it is an awkward repair for most people.

Sorry, if this is a silly question, but is a new Fuel Filter installed automatically/come with a new Fuel Pump? Or do you have to buy a new Fuel Filter and attach to the new Fuel Pump before installin

Has the filter ever been changed? Need to know year and model of the truck. Fuel filters can be near the tank or under the hood. Filters are usually separate from the fuel pump.

Blazer 1999 won't start got spark new fuel pump

Pull off one injector connector and use a test light or voltmeter to see if one wire has power with key on.
Power to the injectors is fed through the ignition switch, so with key on, you should have power there. The injector ground is inside the ECM. If you have power, you'll have to diagnose the circuit for why computer doesn't ground the circuit when it should.

I have an 04 colorado. I just put a new fuel pump and filter in it. Now it wont start I drained all the old gas out and put fresh gas in. I hear the fuel pump working and checked to see if I had fuel...

If you have gas, and the fuel pump is working, all i can suggest is cycling the ignition on and off several times to fill the system. Don't turn the engine over, just turn the key on until the fuel pump cuts out, and repeat. Do this several times. If gas is the problem, it should fire up. If it doesn't, better check for spark. Let me know how you make out.

Was running fine, then i parked and doesn't want to start. It acts like it wants to but doesn't. Very hesitant till gas is applied then dies. At the same time my fuel gauge fell way below normal. I...

It sounds like your fuel pump is bad. The fuel sending unit, which tells your gas guage how much gas you have is integrated into the pump so when you replace the pump it will fix both problems.

Good Luck!

My 1992 GMC Yukon will not start. I will turn over but not start. Has a new barttery and cables. It is not the gas pump becuse I can smell gas from the carb.

You need to check to make sure it has spark. If not it may have a bad ignition module or coil, or problems inside the distrubutor. It may have a faulty temperature sensor for the ecm which can overfuel or underfuel it. You need a scanner to check that. You need to check fuel pressure. Just because you smell gas doesn't mean that the pump is woking correctly.

Hi, you should start by checking all your fuses,if they are all good ,check fuel pump relay, if this is ok , check fuel filter, if filteris good ,you should run a fuel presure text, this will determine if your fuel pump is ok, good luck.......
