Look in your trunk. On the inside ( where the back of the tail light would be ) you will find a black plug with a handle; remove this plug and easily raise the black plastic trim. Find the wire running from the side of the car and follow it to yet another black plug. This is the housing for the bulb you want to replace. Gently turn the housing and pull into the trunk. The bulb also turns to be removed. Use the correct bulb and reverse these instructions. There You've done it!

I have a 2007 yukon denali xl, I got my front brakes and right wheel hub changed. When he got doney brake lights in the back of the truck wI'll not shut off. Brake light switch did nothing to help..

Who put the front brakes an wheel hub bearing on the vehicle ? A qualified repair shop ? A friend ? The front brakes an wheel hub would have nothing to do with the brake lights . An the brake light switch is an input to the BCM - body control module .
Stop Lamps
When the driver presses the brake pedal, the switch contacts open and battery positive voltage is interrupted to the BCM. The BCM then supplies voltage to both the turn/stop lamp supply voltage circuit and trailer rear turn/stop lamp supply voltage circuits. The BCM also supplies voltage to the CHMSL though a dedicated circuit.
I suggest you take it back to who did the front brakes , or a quailfied repair shop .

Disconnect the stop lamps and test the individual stop lamp assemblies for internal shorts between all terminals.
? If a short between terminals is found, replace the stop lamp socket or circuit board as applicable.
Test the stop lamp supply voltage circuit for a short to ground.
? If all circuits/connections test normal, replace the BCM.

I have a 1991 honda accord the brake lamp light comes on & off yet all of the back lights work properly why does the brake lamp light come on if the lights work properly

You can try to replace all the brake lamp bulbs as sometimes eventhough all bulbs are working but one of them is about to blow and give high resistance. That's why the brake lamp lights up.

Is there a fuse or relay or micro relay for the CHMSL on 98 sts

check the lt blue wire at upper lamp,(under trunk lid trim panel) for 12 volts when brake is applied. if no voltage, check same color wire at brake lamp switch for voltage.(by brake pedal).if no voltage replace stop lamp switch asm. if voltage is detected at rear by lamp then replace CHMSL asm.(center high mount stop lamp). this lamp is made of many LED's,if some work and some don't you will need to replace lamp asm. can be repaired by a trained GM tech, possibly. there is no seperate fuse or relay for this lamp, only a stop lamp fuse.

My car tail lights wont go off, unless the battery is disconnected. If you step on the breaks there is no change in the brightness. Check all fuses that I could find and they are ok .Please help, Thank you

The brake lamp switch is shorted and is staying on. Locate the switch on the brake section and replace. This is the reason that there is no change whne the brakes are pressed and the brake lamps are not through any switch but is connected directly. They may look like the tail lamp but it is the brake lamp that is ON.
So check this out., locate the brake switch to replace.

Brake Lamp remains on

This light is controlled by the hand brake, brake fluid level and on some models the brake pad wear indicators.
Low brake pads or a broken sensor wire is a common reason for this problem.
