Does it have any power when you start moving? I've seen a lot of plugged catalytic converters. You may want to have an exhaust back-pressure test done.

1997 GMC Savana 5.7 L conversion van. Cranks but wont start

look under the hood on the right side where your brake fluid is..There is a black box to the farest right of the brake fluid. take off the lid to this box were you will find fuses..Reach in and feel the fuses to see if any are loose. The largest fuses in the front, push down on those and then try to start it up..Take them out look at them make sure there ok if this dont work..they the one bad might need to be replaced..

My 1997 GMC Savana with a4L60E won't down shift unless i do it manualy. when i start it and put it in drive it acts like it is in high gear.

Hello,
Is your check engine light on?
It sounds like you have a failed shift solenoid on the valve body.

I hope this helps.

1997 GMC savannah ran for 30 seconds then shut down won't start just cranks i had the fuel pump replaced about 2 years ago.

Still could be the pump but you need to see if there is spark and fuel, and if there are any engine codes stored. The more info you can get the closer your get to the solution.
