If the radio comes on, It's not the fuse. Usually fuse panel lids give the locations . Owners manual does for sure. Also check to see if you have an amp in the car. Check VW.com/onwersmanuals they are usually free downloads.

SOURCE: 2006 vw jetta tdi service engine light reset

With the key in the ignition (but not turned), press and hold the Odometer Reset Button on the right hand side of the panel. While still holding that button, turn the key (although not far enough to start the engine) and then press and hold the Minute button on the left side of the instrument pane(if pressing doesnt work try turning the knob clockwise until service light has gone off and skip the pressing)l. Release both buttons at the same time.

SOURCE: 2006 vw jetta No power on drivers door.

I have the same Problem. I Simply cut into the middle of the boot between the door and body The broken wire was right there, I pulled each end out and held the wire there with a pair needle nose pliers, stripped the end with a knife and attach a mulyi-strand jumper between both ends with electrial wire twists. Leave 2" approx. then slip the boot back over them. Use # 14 Wire. A Quick reasonable fix. If brakes again repeat again. The new Haness will have the same Problem down the road.

Show the fuse diagram for the Volkswagen jetta?

The fuse diagams might differ slightly according to which particular model you have. A copy of the fuse diagram was typically put on the inside of the fuse panel inside your car, and in the Owner's Manual that came along with your car. If neither of those are available you can check at http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=fuse+diagram%2c+2006+vw+jetta&qpvt=fuse+diagram%2c+2006+VW+Jetta&qpvt=fuse+diagram%2c+2006+VW+Jetta&FORM=IGRE

Which fuse maintains power to clock in a 2006 vw jetta 2.5 when ignition is turned off

Hello,

Well--do you have a test light? They are about $5.
What you are describing is called a 'constant hot' which comes directly from the battery and this wire usually has an 'inline' fuse. You can pop the hood, find the battery, and try to trace the wire from the battery to the radio. There are two types of fuses used--a tube (glass tube) and a blade (standard and micro). If by happenstance your radio is fused at the fuse box under the dash inside the vehicle you can use the test light by touching the metal part of the fuse to see which one lights up. I am assuming you are trying to bypass the safety switch for the display on the radio (e.g. DVD player). You can tap into the 'hot' fuse with a spade (a type of connection) to the 'display' wire coming from the back of the radio.
I hope this helps.

2005 vw Jetta no power to the radio

changing a battery should not blow a fuse if changed correctly ie ign off and all electricks switched off ,,,, disconnecting earth first and connecting it last when putting in new battery ,,,,, maby its just a security code you need for it as this will happen in some cases when you disconnect the battery ,,,,, if it is a fuse i do not know the fuse number but it will be a low ampage fuse ,, usually a 5 amp fuse ,,, most cars have a few fuse boxes now so look for two fuse boxes at least ,,,

Cig lighter wouldn't work, no power

Check the fuses for these in the fuse box first. Sometimes these also have an inline fuse. Remove the socket and see if there is an inline fuse.

Have you checked the radio fuse? You may have blown the fuse when you jumped the car. The fuse box should be out under the hood encased in black plastic.
