SOURCE: 2005 Corolla LE when to flush coolant and change hoses, thermosta

Change the thermostat and the fluid, that is more than enough. The hoses should be replaced if they are soft or leaking.  I'm presuming your car has 100k+ miles.  so also change the belts.

My 06 kia spectra 5 themp gauge is showing hot but there no engine light coming on the water doesn't seem to be boiling

check to to see if the thermostat is not flowing by feeling the upper radiator hose and comparing it to the temp of the lower hose after the car has been running,if there is a noticeable difference between the two hoses then replace the thermostat, be sure that you don't put your hands in there with the engine running and make sure that the key is off also the electric fan will run wit out warning if the key is on.Also check the oil to see if any coolant has gotten in to it if it has it will look either milky white or a greenish color with a slight sweet smell. This will be a sign of a failed head gasket. One other thing look at the water pump to see if it might be leaking even slightly that will mean the water pump is failing or has failed,if all of this checks out then it could be just the temp sending unit.hope this helps.

Where is the radiator drain plug on a 2005 kia sedona?

The textbook method is to remove the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator.

Most drain plug ismake of inexpensive nylon/plastic and it may fall apart while you turn it.

The professional method is to loosen the lower radiator clamp and drop to lower radiator hose.

Drain the coolant onto a large drain pan and recycle the coolant

I just did a FREE write up on air purge from coolant system and how todetect initial state of blown head gasket at the Fixya tip selection.

2005 kia spectra over heating

Did you install a new thermostat and make sure to bleed all the air out of the system when you replaced the radiator? If you didn't, or installed a Stant thermostat, replace it with a FACTORY OEM thermostat. Make sure the cooling system is bled by opening your radiator cap (WHILE THE CAR IS OFF AND COLD), starting the car and running the heater. Add coolant to the radiator as the engine heats up, until is at normal operating temperature AND starts spitting coolant back out.

Hope this helps,

No heat in 2004 Kia Spectra

Check the coolant level, if that is good your heat exchanger maybe plugged. Also check the hose going onto the firewall, to make sure it's not collapsed.
